From the moment I entered the practice everything felt right. It felt like, what I thought a private practice would be like. Everyone I encountered was very professional and nothing was too much trouble. The treatment I received both on pre-op day and on the cataract surgery day was of high quality. I would recommend Exeter Spa Medica to anyone.

From the minute you walk through the door you feel as if you are their main priority. They talk you through the eye test. Then everything is explained, and you are asked if you wish to continue. You are then offered a date that is also convenient to you for the procedure. The day of the operation runs just as smoothly. Your details are checked at every stage, and you are talked through every stage. The operation is quick and painless. Before you leave you are given your medication and instructions and are told to ring if you have any concerns once you have left. I can't wait to get the other eye done now.

I came to SpaMedica Exeter for a cataract operation on the NHS. The service was friendly, efficient and professional. The operation was painless and the feeling of grittiness in the eye only lasted for a day in my case and was managed with paracetamol. The change in eyesight is quite amazing - I had no idea how vivid and clear things actually are!

Prompt appointment service, less than a week to confirm pre-admission date and equally prompt with both eyes' cataract surgery appointments. Both eyes surgery completed including initial waiting time - 2 months, fantastic! The Exeter Spa Medica staff are professional, friendly and reassuring, the surgery was completed in minutes and the post-surgery interview was the icing on a wonderful cake. The outcome has been superb, to the extent that I no longer wear spectacles for long sight, just reading, colours are more vivid and it's like a haze has been lifted, I feel so fortunate to have used this facility at no cost to myself and would recommend to everyone.

From arriving at spamedica to leaving was a brilliant experience you are well looked after and made to feel like a person and not just a number in a long list of patients could not fault one part of visit fantastic experience thankyou staff .

My experience at the Spa Medica in Exeter was really good. Very helpful staff and all the medical staff were so comforting and reassuring all the way through my eye operation. I would be happy to recommend this hospital to anyone needing a cataract operation. Long may you all continue.

To say I was pleased with the treatment I received would be a big understatement. I was delighted. I was amazed at the improvement in my vision. I thought that with fixed focus replacement lenses I would need glasses all the time, but without them I can read newspapers and easily pass the car number-plate test in daylight. I am 81. The operation was quick and painless - no need for painkillers afterwards. The staff were so efficient and friendly that I almost felt sad when it was time for me to leave!

I had an extremely pleasant experience for my cataract operation at Spa Medica Exeter. The staff took great pains to explain what was going to happen during my time at the hospital, were friendly and courteous. I have no hesitation in recommending this hospital.
