This was my second cataract removal in Spa Medica, Liverpool and this review only applies to the second procedure. From reception staff and porters through to nursing staff everyone was so helpful and gave information throughout. However, when the opthalmic surgeon came to ask did I have any questions - he was rushed, abrupt and just wanted my consent form signature. Once beginning the eye surgery his manner was appalling - an almost bullying way of telling you what to do.....There were three nurses in the operating room - everyone tense. Trying to give the benefit of the doubt I wondered if perhaps Spa Medica had scheduled too many patients for him in too short a space of time. Some patients would have been very upset at being spoken to in that way. However I couldn't fault everyone else in Spa Medica and I have had no subsequent problem with my vision afterwards.

A very efficient, friendly and spotlessly clean clinic. Everything to be done prior to and during the surgery was explained to me and I could not have been in better hands. Thank you one and all.

I attended the hospital to have cataract surgery on my left eye. The treatment I received from start to finish was excellent, I was treated with care and respect, a very professional and caring team, thank you all so much.

From the minute I arrived to the time I left I was treated very respectfully, cheerfully and with a feeling of being in safe hands. The whole experience was wonderful. I cannot thank everyone concerned, enough! Well done!

I attended on 11/10/2023 for removal of cataract in my left eye. The treatment and care I received from arrival to departure was outstanding and I would like to thank all the staff who looked after me. Now I am looking forward to the surgery on my right eye as soon as is possible.

From start to finish it was a wonderful experience I was fearful of pain, but it couldn't have been more, calming, from the reception staff to the nurses, and the. Surgeons themselves.I Will Never be afraid of eye surgery ever again.....

I have both eyes free of cataracts now My operations were carried out by ver caring team of people. Very friendly and efficient everything was clearly explain to me and it didn’t hurt after care was amazing. Thank you all
