Cataract surgery. Service from referral to aftercare was very good, quick, efficient and caring. All staff from entering the hospital to discharge were excellent. A very positive experience. I was given comprehensive verbal and written information and I have no worries about having my second eye done there.

From entering the building, meeting the reception staff to the technicians on the machines, the nurses and surgeon, it was all smiles with care and understanding. The rooms were spotless and bright. The procedures of assessment and cataract surgery were seamless and I was in and out within the hour. Can’t fault anything.

I have had both cataract operations within 5 weeks. The pre-assessment was thorough and well managed and the procedures were managed with care and sensitivity. The staff were welcoming, personable and understanding. Telephone contacts were sympathetic and understanding. Excellent customer first relationships.

Due to train times I arrived an hour early but the practice was able to adapt, meaning that I was seen almost immediately and was ready to leave two hours after arriving. The staff were courteous, friendly and efficient, and went out of their way to explain the process and to help with queries. One improvement I would suggest is with the directions to the site on the website. The nearest train station is stated as Longport, which is correct. However, as I found out, Longport is a very unappealing, small station with boarded up doors and windows, no taxi rank and no facilities either at the station or nearby. If arriving or leaving after dark, especially after eye surgery, it would be even worse. I would strongly suggest that, if arriving by train, you recommend using Stoke-on-Trent station which is not much further away and has far better facilities (and more train services).

Absolutely 5 stars .went in for cataract surgery .had my pre op assessment Excellent staff , seen very fast indeed ,well looked after, A few days later , had my surgery!!! Absolutely first class service from start to finish ! A big thank you to all !!!!

Superb enviroment, professionally friendly service at reception followed by a pre-op nurses that put me at my ease. The surgeon gave clear and precise inscructions on the proceedure. The discharge nurse also gave clear instructions on what I was to be able to not do for the next few weeks

good welcome and efficient service by all staff. Well worth the operation. 4 weeks after the second eye operation my Optometrist confirmed I can Drive without glasses
