Staff were exceptionally friendly and curious and my time there was made as pleasant as possible I certainly would not be worried about prospect of returning to have the catteract in my other eye repaired as this is to be the next step

I have had both my eyes done, the staff are amazing, very helpful and explain things well, this includes the surgeon. The procedure was quick with clear instructions for after care

All the staff were helpful and took pains to explain what would happen during my visit. During the procedure the staff in attendance were reassuring. After the procedure, the advice given as to what to do next was clear.

After a successful first cataract operation at Spa Medica, Newcastle under Lyme on 24th January, I had my second eye operated upon this morning. My course will be completed in April with a post operative follow up. I have nothing but praise for all the staff from the welcomes to receptionists, nurses, opticians and, of course, the surgeons. They were all friendly, helpful, informative and fully professional. I am very grateful.

I have just had my 2nd cataract surgery and have nothing but praise for all the staff. All staff were peasant and efficient from my first phone call to my discharge. Everything was explained so well and all questions answered. Thank you to the whole team, the world seems a much brighter place now

The pre-op and assessment was a very efficient procedure carried out by professional and friendly practitioners. They put me at ease and explained what would happen and answered all questions expertly. The same applies to the cataract surgery. Very caring and thorough and had time to listen, answer questions and explain post-op care and follow up. The staff made the whole process less daunting than I feared.

I was surprised and disappointed how painful the operation was, particularly, when so many of my relatives and friends who had had cataract operations reported that they experienced little or no pain during their operations. My operation was painful from the fitting of the clip to my eye, till the completion of the operation. Therefore, I am asking why this was so? I think that I have quite a high threshhold in withstanding pain but, at times, the pain of the operation was excruciating. I suppose I should have signalled this to the surgeon at the start of the operation but did not think it would continue or get worse and I did not want to jeopardise thesuccess of the operation. However, up to now, the outcome of the operation seems fine. I would be pleased to receive your comments and opinion on this. Thanking you.
