Both cataracts done, excellent care, staff so kind as I was very nervous before the first one. The clinic is spotless and I felt in a safe place. It’s great to see properly again!

The pre operative attention was excellent as was the care and kindness shown at the operative stage. Very thorough with my home care plan and answered all of my questions. Lovely staff, spotlessly clean and very welcoming!

I had cataract surgery today and cannot fault the tremendous customer service and treatment I received. A brilliant process that was clearly explained and worked like clockwork. So enlightening to see great teamwork where everyone knew their specific role. I was made to feel at ease throughout the morning. Congratulations and thank you to all!

Immaculate facilities. Complimentary drinks and biscuits readily available - more like a private facility. Fast appointments and quick procedure. One negative, no-one discussed sedation with me. I am quite an anxious person and this would have hugely improved the procedure experience for me.

I gave a glowing 5 star review following my cataract procedure in July but, sadly and disappointingly, I am unable to do so for the aftercare since then! Following the procedure I experienced pain, discomfort and irritation to my eye. Telephone contact was made as advised in the discharge papers and the advice was to use the prescribed eye drops and to get ‘dry eye’ drops and to attend the review clinic as advised. This is did. At the review clinic, the ophthalmologist t advised that I had an infection in my eye and a second, more intense, course of prescription drops was issued. Despite this, I was still experiencing a“sore, tired and irritated” eye. I telephoned the help line again for advice and the hope of being invited back for a consultation. Instead, I was advised to get a night eye gel (hycosan) and to attend the second follow up clinic as planned. Today, I attended this second follow up where it was confirmed that whilst the cataract ‘work’ was satisfactory - but that I have eye infection in the form of rosacea in both eyes, but predominantly in the ‘new’ eye. In addition, I had an ingrowing eyelash on that eye - it is therefore no wonder that I was experiencing discomfort in my eye. I am pleased to say that when the consultant removed the lash, inexperienced immediate relief! Had I been been seen in person rather than only by telephone consultation, perhaps the discomfort, inflammation and ingrown eyelash matters could have been relieved much sooner. I am also somewhat puzzled as to why the ingrown lash was not discovered sooner? I need a second cataract operation to my other eye. However, exactly how to proceed now is not clear to me based on my experience thus far!

Would highly recommend the service received and the staff who took care of me. Staff were all friendly on my pre op and actual day of surgery.
