Cannot fault my experience at this practice from the initial assessment, actual cataract operation and follow up visit. Process ran smoothly on all three occasions. Some waiting involved from time to time but nothing untoward. Staff friendly and helpful. If offered this service, then go for it!

From pre op assessment to surgery the whole team at Sheffield SpaMedica were very friendly and extremely professional. They helped to make the journey relaxed, comfortable and were happy to help with any questions you may have. Would highly recommend to anyone requiring cataract surgery. Many many thanks to you all.

I was welcomed with all the staff And doctors and put at ease. Informed me of every move The surgery only took all together After drops in my eyes all done and on my way home after 1 hour Great surgeon and is staff Thank you

My first cataract operation at SpaMedica Sheffield was on November 10th 2022. I was really pleased with the experience; everyone was professional, caring, patient, friendly and supportive. My second operation took place on March 12th and up to entering the theatre all staff were 'spot on' cheerful, smiling, professional. However I felt the surgeon was rather gruff and rough preparing me for surgery. The supporting theatre staff, unlike on my November experience the previous year were not particularly friendly and rather regimental and not particularly supportive or careful of me after the operation. Similarly the post operative nurse was nowhere near as informative as the one in November, expecting me to remember things almost 4months ago. She seemed rather rushed and dismissive.

In at 8 am after taking time for drops to work operation over in 10 minutes. All the staff are so nice and make you feel welcome. After a coffee home at 10 am.

Had my left eye operation on 18th March. All staff we very good to me, went through every thing with me, longest time was waiting for drops to work, surgeon introduced himself, and explained what was going to happen, operation was less tan 10 mins, and was able to walk straight away, My sight in the eye has already improved, less than a week later, Person after surgery was thorough, explained what I needed to do / not To do, Drops ect , and emergency phone numbers given, cannot wait for next eye to be done.

I had a cataract treated in March this year. The care and experience was faultless. I was seen within a week of my optician diagnosing my cataract. The assessment and operation were quick and efficient and I have not had any problems since the operation.

The review is fir my first visit. Overall the service was great, security check you in , all staff check who you are. Everyone is polite and helpful. One slight issue, I was booked in for 9:30 am and as I arrived there was at least 8 people in front of me which meant I did not get into theatre fir at least another hour.
