The two cataract operations were quick and efficient, and two subsequent capsulotomies were the same. The staff are so pleasant and kind and everything was completely pain-free. The whole experience was a pleasure! I would certainly recommend Spa Medica to anyone.

Very comfortable environment. The waiting lounge was comfortable with drink facilities and snacks available.All the staff were very friendly, helpful and efficient

The staff were so helpful and kind. They gave good information concerning what would happen and they really supported me through the procedure. I can honestly say when I return for removal of the cataract in my right eye I will not have any worries. Thankyou.

The whole experience from initial referral made by my optician,telephone contact,assessment and my surgery was an extremely positive and reassuring event in my life.

In had my cataract done the 15 of November the staff were absolutely brilliant the made you very relaxed and comfortable .the mini bus driver was also brilliant and the surgeon am very happy with my eyes although it was only just over a week ago.I would recomend paramedics to anybody

I had my cataract removed yesterday. The staff were all fantastic, helpful, very friendly & efficient! They all went out of their way to make me feel comfortable & confident in what was about to happen!

The process from the moment you walk through the door for your appointment is excellent. Staff are warm and friendly and communicating with you throughout with the information you need and give you the opportunity at every stage to ask any questions you have which are answered openly and honestly. You are having a medical procedure which I guess most people wouldn't look forward to having to undergo and I was no different. However I was made very welcome and comfortable and my experience was made as good as its possible by the fantastic staff.

Dismal grey building on grey scrubby industrial estate. Not well signposted so hard to find. Reception lounge dismal grey from floor to ceiling. Nurses friendly and welcoming. Coffee machine out of order. This was the first experience of surgery I have ever had in my life (I am 82). I realise that the surgeons do these surgeries dozens of times a week but for me this was a major life event so I was very nervous. First surgery: Surgeon talked all the time over my head with his colleagues about who was on the weekend stint which made me feel he was not concentrating on what he was doing to my eye. I was startled and jerked when he pushed something hard into my eye and threw water into my face. Uncomfortable but bearable. Second surgery (same surgeon): I asked him if the surgery would leave me with the same vision in both eyes. I also asked if he would let me know what he was going to do to me before he did it so I would not be so startled. He seemed annoyed by these questions. His dismissive reaction made me feel he thought me stupid and ignorant which made me very frightened of him. Nurses could see I was scared and trembling and offered to hold my hand but surgeon said brusquely "Oh, leave it, leave it". No empathy. More pain than first surgery. In a state of shock afterwards. But both surgeries seem to have been successful and my vision is clearer and brighter. I would not like to have to go back there again.

From waking through the door to walking out Post op I was nothing less than impressed. Nothing was too much trouble & the Staff from Reception to Doctors & Nurses were amazing.I can not praise the facility enough. Would highly recommend this amazing Eye Clinic. SpaMedica a name to remember.

I had my right cataract surgery on 4/9/22 & my left one on 28/10/22. On both occasions the staff were very friendly and helpful. I was quite nervous before the first one, but they put me at ease and I couldn’t wait to have the second one done. My eyesight has improved tremendously and I am so grateful my optician referred me to Spa Medical.
