What a brilliant place this is. I was so scared about the thought of cataract surgery and to say I was anxious upon arrival is an understatement! Well I needn't have worried. I was put at ease straight away, the procedure was explained in detail every step of the way and the surgery itself was nothing like the horror I'd imagined! I have now had cataract surgery on both eyes. I had a different surgeon each time, and they were both lovely. Having this surgery has been over of the best things I've ever had done. I can see things in their true colours and I can finally ditch the rigid gas permeable contact lenses I have worn for 50 years. I can't recommend this place enough! Thank you.

Very professional service. The welcome was warm and helpful. The appointments were well paced and I felt informed and mostly given the time needed to know what was happening and to ask any questions I had. The day of the procedure went very smoothly and the post-operative information was clear and helpful. I look forward to having my other eye done in the near future.

On arrival receptionist did not look up from screen when taking details. Screening nurse was a little abrupt. When I was struggling to remove my watch she advised that she only had ten minutes per patient. Given that individuals may have anxiety, a more friendly attitude could help alleviate any concerns. Whilst the procedure was successful, a more empathetic, less rushed approach would have been helpful.

From entering the door for pre operative assessment to closing the door post cataract removal nothing can be faulted. The cleanliness of the clinic and staff, professionalism and caring attitude of ever single member of the staff and the hard working attitude and skill of 99.99% is to be applauded. Nothing is to much for them and they work as a team to ensure the patient is number one priority throughout. As a result only 48 hours after surgery I eagerly await my second cataract operation. The difference having clear colourful vision is unbelievable. OK so the procedure is not something I would want routinely however everything is fully explained, pain is not an issue and the surgeon and staff ensure you know you are being looked after whilst they are operating. I could go on for hours about the other aspects but I won’t however the speed of referral and subsequent surgery is first class. Thank you all so very, very much .

All the staff are pleasant I did not feel at all in an alien atmosphere. There was not too much waiting the building is clean and smells nice. In fact, everything was great, and everybody was amenable. Let's be honest; it's a medical procedure and even just after one eye, I can see better already. Fantastic

My mum (86) had this treatment and from initial consultation to surgery all staff and consultants we’re fabulous so kind and helpful and explained everything that was happening very well - would highly recommend to anyone who needs surgery

From arrival to departure, the process was efficient but caringly done. I was kept informed at all stages by the staff, who put me at ease whilst still acting in a professional manner. My one possible concern was that my son, who had come with me by taxi (to assist me in traveling home after the operation), was told that he couldn't wait for me on the premises. He was forced to walk toward Wakefield and I then had to wait for his return to the clinic before ordering a taxi home. This limitation should be made clearer prior to the visit, to prevent inconvenience and extra expense!

Fantastic service and care from start to finish and only four weeks from referral to surgery day! After being referred by my optician, I received a telephone call, offering me a pre-op appointment within two weeks. At the pre-op appointment, I was given a date for my surgery for the week after. At both appointments,I was treated with respect and great care by all the very professional staff, who explained everything to me, step by step. The surgery itself was quick and painless and I was given clear instructions about aftercare etc. I would definitely recommend Spamedica to everyone!
