I was very nervous about having cataract treatment. I was referred to the Ossett Spamedica unit for surgery. I was initially given a full eye examination and then given a date for my operation. The appointment was prompt. On arrival I was treated with eye drops and then a wait. I then was escorted to the theatre where I was placed on a bed. My attendent treated me with kindness and care. My surgeon showed the utmost consideration and professionalism. During the operation I found the experience to be unusual but painless. It did not take long for the procedure and I was then given a protective eye shield and a nurse then explained how to apply my after-operation medications. I was treated with the best attention and care. I was very happy with the outcome.

I have had cataract surgery to both eyes at this practice. Every member of staff has a great manner, puts you at ease, and explains everything really clearly. I would recommend them wholeheartedly.

I cannot rate SpaMedica in Wakefield highly enough. From referral to the cataract operation on January 3rd. The whole process went smoothly and efficiently carried out by highly professional and caring staff. I have worn contact lenses for over 50 years and I can honestly say my eyesight has never been better. I now hope to get my other eye done in the near future. Thank you once again.

This was my first experience of SpaMedica and cataract surgery and it could not have been better. Following referral by my optician I was seen quickly at SpaMedica and the wait for surgery was short, from referral to surgery was 26 days. All staff were a pleasure to deal with. They were professional yet friendly and reassuring. Everything was explained very clearly and I was given ample opportunity to ask questions. I wasn’t in the least bit apprehensive and the surgery was quick and painless. I cannot praise SpaMedica highly enough and I have no hesitation in recommending them.

All staff friendly, courteous and most professional. I felt safe and that they cared. Building was spotlessly clean and tea coffee and biscuits were available free of charge. I would most definitely recommend Spa Medical for Cataract Surgery

I have just had my second cataract operation here within two months of the first. My whole experience was very positive with excellent care from all the staff. They obviously have to go through the same procedure more than one hundred times a week but still managed to make me feel like an individual that they cared about. The only small criticism is that no-one had rung my lift home to have them ready when I came out. This had happened the first time I was in and I felt added to the excellent service.

Staff are very good at putting patients at ease. This to me was very important as I tend to get nervous in these situations. In short I could not fault the practice the are superb at what they do
