I paid 25 pounds for 3 minutes, i think the dentist could have removed the stain on my tooth. I could have just booked in with the hygienist and saved myself 25 quid, the hygenist will be 40 odd , its expensive

I was phoned and asked if I could change my appointment from next week to today Tuesday, the 26th of September. The phone call I received was on the 25th. So I arrived from my appointment at 9 o’clock and young man was very polite. I explained I was in the process of whitening my teeth so they could be a little sensitive. He proceeded to clean my teeth, very delicately, with only one incident of my teeth, being sensitive during the descaling process. He then went on to start the polishing of my teeth, but the equipment wasn’t working his assistant left the room. He proceeded to tell me that he hadn’t got all the plaque off due to me being uncomfortable, and I would have to return in three months to have my teeth cleaned again. At £72 per treatment, I was obviously not happy with this, and said please carry on and finish the descaling of my teeth. He said due to my sensitivity, he felt he had done his best, but I only stopped him once. Alarm bells rang when he said to return in three months. I have been coming to your dentist for 15 years now and I see the dentist, then the hygienist on a six monthly basis except during lockdown.. About three months ago, I saw the dentist and she told me my teeth were healthy and didn’t even recommend seeing the hygienist which was normally requested by the old dentist I used to see. So I had to make this hygienist appointment as a private customer as the NHS hygienist appointments now have to be made via the dentist. So to be told that he couldn’t finish the treatment and I would have to return in three months at a cost of another £72. I was obviously not happy. His assistant then returned to the room and said that the equipment they to polishing my teeth was not working. the dentist then told me he couldn’t finish. I intern said I wasn’t going to pay for something that hadn’t been completed as I feel £72 is quite a lot of money to pay out to have half of the treatment advertised. He then proceeded to explain that he only worked Tuesdays and Fridays, and could I return again on Friday for him to finish. After explaining that due to my work commitments, being a registrar and attending weddings Friday, Saturday and Sundays are my busy days, but I could return next Tuesday which was my original appointment. He then promised me he would finish the treatment and throw in an air flow treatment whatever this may be. I’m sure I will find out next Tuesday. I was told not to pay anything today and I would be charged next Tuesday. All in all, not really happy as I have wasted time and petrol driving to Ilkley from Cross Hills to attend an appointment. I was asked to take at the last minute. The hygienist was called Asif. I feel an equipment check before your first patient arrived on site should be a standard morning procedure.

I had to wait a long time for my appointment which was very disappointing considering I had booked a particular time.

I broke a tooth and was fitted in within a day and the tooth was filled. Everyone was polite and friendly. An excellent experience.

What stood out for me was being on the phone for over 50 minutes and repeatedly being told I’m 1st in the queue.in the end I’d had enough and hung up

Poor timekeeping. No apology . When I pointed out that my father , in his eheelchair, had been waiting long after his appointed time, I was told that you were "busy". Well Ctually, so am I. I had to reschedule a number of thing to be there on time.

After being third in queue on the phone for 45 minutes.(the answer phone facility was full) The receptionist was helpful and I had a appointment the next day for my broken tooth. The dentist and assistant were very efficient.

The dentist is very good but I rang 5 days ago to ask for an emergency appointment because of raging toothache; I was kept waiting ‘in a queue’ of which I was number 2 in the queue for 30 minutes and then number 1 in the queue for a further 40 minutes. I was told there were no emergency appointments (fair enough if this is the case) and I stuck to my scheduled appointment for today. I asked the receptionist to pass on the message that I had raging toothache and would need that to be looked at, but this message had not been passed on and my dentist was unaware.

Dentist and lady at reception were courteous and friendly. Girl who escorted me to the dentist was abrupt, unfriendly and directed me with face gestures and hand signals. She needs counselling and training in how to greet patients.
