Had a check up appointment and teeth weren’t cleaned but I had asked to book in for a removal so assumed it would be done then. It was done at neither. Dentist quite rough, didn’t talk through what was being done. Previously paid for teeth whitening privately but due to lockdowns never had follow ups etc….felt it was wasted money. I have had prescription high fluoride toothpaste since being a teenager, never had a problem getting a prescription, this dentist does not like giving me a prescription though I was told as a teenager I needed it.

Everyone at Oak Dental Surgery is very friendly and helpful. The dentist is always very professional and thorough and the dental nurse always pleasant and reassuring. On my recent visit I was delighted to hear I did not need any further treatment, just another checkup in 6 months.

The past 3 times i visited since having a new dentist (and since being renamed from Ravat and Ray to The Oaks) the dentist i have just really didnt seem to have any interest in helping me when it came to my teeth and fobbed me off in most aspects. I had to ask them to do something to help. In the space of 14 weeks since my last appointment, my teeth had deteriorated so badly due to pregnancy and the dentist not doing anything to help my teeth. I now have to go to a different surgery quite far away from where i live and have alot of work done! All that she would do for me is prescribe me a toothpaste. Im still in discomfort and my teeth are still no better. They couldnt tell me how long it will be before they sort a “treatment plan” so without a doubt, the tooth that is causing most problems will probably be alot worse by the time it gets round to being “sorted”. Im really dissapointed and really contemplating switching dentist surgerys!

I feel like a bit more communication is needed…wasn’t really given any information at all or asked any questions. Dentists seem pleasant enough just very quiet.

The dentist was lovely, put me at ease. Explained my options and told me exactly what was causing me so much pain. I wish this was my registered dentist (I came as an emergency) because I don’t get treated like this good at my own dentist.

I received excellent service as usual. I had a broken filling that needed repair, and I was pleasantly surprised to receive an appointment within 24 hours. The tooth was causing discomfort as it was quite sharp and kept rubbing against my tongue. Even though the appointment was with a different dentist from my regular one, I was impressed by their level of professionalism and skill. The repair work was completed in less than 10 minutes, and the filling felt and looked even better than before. Overall, I am delighted with the service I received and would highly recommend this dental practice to anyone seeking efficient and reliable dental care.

All of the staff at the Oaks are pleasant, professional and a pleasure to deal with. They make a possibly traumatic experience easier to deal with.

As lovely as the lady is I found the communication quite poor throughout quite a traumatic procedure. I have picked up on this several times during procedures.

I saw the densit for a sore tooth ,need to ask about my composite bonding ,which as come of my teeth, which is very unhappy. And was told i would need to pay another £23 to see the dentist about this even though i had just seen him.

The care and attention give by the hygienist and his assistant. They were really helpful in answering some of my questions and I love the airflow therapy!
