I arrived 10 minutes early for my appointment which was at 09.00hrs and then waited until 9.25hrs to be seen. During this time a number other patients arrived all waiting. Nobody seemed to come out of the room so unclear as to the delay. My check up then took less than 60 seconds and i was told everything looked good and come back in 6 months.

My appointment was 3.30pm I left at 4.15pm without having seen the dentist, I was advised when I got there that my dentist was running 20 mins late, after 40 minutes the lovely receptionist asked if I wanted to re arrange as she didn’t Know how long it would be, I waited another 5-10 minutes then left. Obviously not happy with the waste of my time.

Sat for 50 minutes waiting for my appointment. Nobody bothered to tell me an emergency appointment had ran over. There was then a 5 people queue including my family so my appointment was the whole of 30 seconds, she refused to clean my teeth though she hadn’t done them at the last appointment either.

The service that I received was more than I expected.Went to see about having a filling renewed at 10.15 on 20/9 and had the treatment at09.45 on 21/9

I arrived for my appointment today with my children, after receiving appointment reminder Sunday, and forms to fill in Tues. to be told we had no appointments booked, I informed them I’d received a reminder and the forms to be told, the dentist I was under had left 6 months ago. And that appointment should have been cancelled, and a new one made. I wasn’t happy , I’d taken unpaid time out of work, and children out of school early. They had 6 months to rearrange the dentist patients to a new appointment. This isn’t fair , I attended my appointments when I do get them if haven’t been arranged (this has happened more than a few times). I’m never late, we always wait over our appointments slots. And never had to reschedule, on our side. They have been accommodating and booked an appointment in the school holidays, but I’m not holding out much hope, I can’t remember, the last time we were at the dentist. This was an error on the practice side, not ours, and have known the dentist left 6 months ago.

Today was our first appointment with this dentist and we attended as a family. He was thorough and spent a great deal of time on education, giving reasons for his recommendations and making sure we were happy with his plan. This was a refreshing approach. He put us all at ease, and also had a fantastic manner with the children. So often NHS dentistry feels like a conveyor belt, but this was not the case today. I am very pleased.
