    I got an appointment after two to three follow ups. The doctor was good. It would have been great if I got appointment earlier after listening to my concern.

We offer same day appointments for the GP's and our other clinicians for emergency face to face appointments and telephone appointments and we have appointments for routine matters available within three weeks. If you do ever find that you are struggling to obtain an appointment you are always welcome to try our new PATCHS service via our website which allows you to answer a few questions and will be directed to the relevant clinician for review.     Can’t speak to a Doctor after 2 phone appointments. Spoke to advanced practitioner who didn’t listen to my issues concerning post covid and I had to tell them what medication may help. My certificate from the surgery was completely wrong and I had to have a second appointment to rectify everything that wasn’t acknowledged on the first appointment. Now considering changing practices as soon as I feel fit enough and when I have time! Better service at the Blue Cross!

    Brought my 7 year old daughter for her Polio Vaccine. The nurse administrating the Vaccine was absolutely brilliant, put my daughter at ease and had the needle in and out before my daughter felt anything

    Generally speaking, my experience at the Albany Practice has not been good. From having to wait a minimum of 3 weeks before being seen (that too by a nurse and not a doctor), to rude staff, to schedules not being loaded on time in order for patients to make appointments. Overall, the practice is in dire need of extra staff. My only pleasant experience was with a temporary blood test taker on 17.10.22 who was very friendly, professional and helpful.

    Dear Patient, We are saddened to hear that you have had a negative experience with the practice. As this is an anonymous review and a public forum we cannot go into too much detail but will be able to generally advise on some of the comments made. Should you wish to discuss these further please do not hesitate to contact us on 020 8630 3838 or HOUCCG.albany@NHS.net and discuss this with a member of the management team. Regarding appointments, we have various appointments that we offer. For emergency / same day appointments: all patients can call at 8am for a morning appointment / telephone appointment and again at 1pm for the same. We have routine appointments available for all patients that are usually things that can wait and have no urgency, these appointments are usually available 2-3+ weeks in advance. Appointments are available for a variety of clinicians to suit your needs, such as GPs, Clinical Pharmacists, Advanced Nurse Practitioners, Physiotherapists, Health Care Assistants, Nurses etc. Receptionist will ask what the appointment is for and following their training they will arrange the appointment with the correct member of staff who would be most suitable for the matter. Patients can always ask for a specific clinician if this is preferable and we can always try to accommodate where possible. We are very sorry to hear that you have found our staff rude. We can assure you that we train our staff to a high standard and expect them to treat our patients with the best patient care, if we have fallen short at this time we would really like to hear of this exact incident so we can speak to the member of staff directly regarding this incident as this is not acceptable. We are pleased to hear however that you have had a positive experience with one of our healthcare assistants during a blood test appointment - we will feed this back to the team.     I’ve had lots of health issues recently and have had to wait weeks at a time for appointments and tests, and still I’ve been given any answers to what’s wrong with me. I finally got a blood test to check for a gluten intolerance booked in but it wasn’t processed so I have to do it again, and have to wait 4 weeks to do so. Life has been very stressful as I’m in pain everyday just waiting and waiting for some kind of answer and help.

    I only have a lunch break between 12-1 and I needed a call appointment to be told I need to call back at 2 which I was unable to do as I was back in work but I hade been able to make the phone appointment before between 12-1

When booking for a telephone appointment we do always try to accommodate to patients call back requests such as yours, however some times this cannot always be possible in clinics due to various matters.     It was a relief today to be able to have a face to face appointment with a GP of my choice for the first time in almost 3 years. The receptionist went out of her way to secure an appointment to suit my needs.
