    I tried to make an appointment yesterday over the phone for a diabetic review as in my previous surgery I was asked to make an appointment in October to see if the new medication was working or not. The lady who answered the phone was not sure about what to do and told me that she would pass my request on to relevant department and that they would call me back. The lady also mentioned if the condition worsened to call back, how do I know if the condition worsened without blood tests? The lady also mentioned that this surgery only conducts diabetes review once a year, in all surgeries I have been registered all them do it twice a year. Besides that I made an appointment to see a doctor regarding an ongoing hearing problem that is getting worse. I received a message written in Portuguese basically telling me that the relevant department would call me to make an appointment, but provided no date. This morning I went to the surgery to enquire about these appointments and to see if the appointments could be made. The receptionist told me that they could not do anything and that it had to be done over the phone. I called this morning and left my number for a call back as there were 20 calls in front of me. When I finally received the call the lady was extremely unhelpful and could not provide any answers nor make any appointment and went on annoying me asking me to stop shouting at her when I was not shouting. This lady does not understand that some people speak louder than others and more do the ones with hearing difficulties. I asked this lady who to complain to and she said that she would send it to me but so far has not sent it yet. To some up it is impossible to make appointments, the receptionists have no answers and go on annoying patients asking them to stop shouting when they are not shouting as was the case. This is a waste of time and money, why can’t receptionists make appointments over the phone? Why can’t patients make appointments at the surgery? Wouldn’t it be easier for everyone and cheaper for the receptionists to answer and make the appointments themselves instead of sending the information to the relevant department and then someone calling back about the same appointment? It is much worse to accept patients and not looking after them than refusing to take them on, it looks like the surgery is full, if that’s the case why are new patients being accepted? How long does it take for an appointment to be made? What are the receptionists doing if they can’t make appointments? It looks like there is a tremendous disorganisation, why am I receiving messages in Portuguese when I don’t need that service? There are far too many questions, as a matter of fact when I call to make an appointment is because I need it, all patients need is receptionists to go straight to the point and answer the questions properly but I’m afraid that’s not the case presently.     Met with a smile, the staff I saw were professional, helpful and friendly, considering how underfunded and short staffed practices are at the moment I think the service they offer is superb, only queued for 30 minutes for my vaccination was more than happy with this

    Booked my appointment using the NHS appt. Prompt response. Easy to obtain an appointment. Plenty of reminders re appointment. Nurse was very informative and friendly. Overall just a very good experience thank you.

    Rang up at 11, was given a GP appointment at 12, which ran on time. Had an issue with prescription but the staff sorted it easily and professionally. Thank you so much!

    Gotta say that the practioner/nurse as brilliant - I'm severely needle phobic and for the first time ever I had both jabs without any trauma - could not have asked for better, well do e and thank you.
