    Whilst I have never doubted the healthcare offered, the ‘word on the street’ is that to get an appointment at short notice is nigh on impossible and that the ‘system’ actively tries to prevent such appointments. However, I was able to get a next morning appointment from the Patchs system (which seems to make it difficult to navigate to needing an appointment) which was unexpected but greatly appreciated. The NHS and app base appointment systems have been suspended so you have to use Patchs . So, despite the ‘word on the street’ I can only comment based on my excellent experience so thank you. Just hope this isn’t a one off and will be the same as and when I next need to visit!

    The nurse practitioner which saw me was so kind, caring and compassionate. She explained everything really thoroughly and I felt as ease and more informed about my concerns.

    The nurse I saw was very helpful & answered all my questions. I had to wait a while in the waiting room which was comfortable & clean. Unfortunately making an appointment is ridiculously hard work as I had to request an appointment, wait for a text for the date & time but then phone again to change it, then wait again to see if I was offered a more suitable time & that is why I wouldn't recommend this surgery

    It took me 11 days to get an appointment. Numerous calls to the practise as I had heard nothing only to be told that the receptionist could not do anything. I was on the urgent appointment list and I had to wait. The appointments booking team would be in contact with me. I was offered an appointment 20 days ahead. Urgent!! This would be a week after my new medication had run out. So I phoned and they cancelled that appointment and said I would be out back on the urgent appointment wait list. 4 days later I phoned and spoke to receptionist again. She suggested going on the website and requesting urgent same day appointment. I did this and a doctor called and the result was she wanted me to come into the surgery so see a doctor?? So back on the list I went. I finally saw a doctor two days later The whole experience was extremely stressy and in my opinion unnecessary. I had a blood test and had my diary with me to book to see a doctor re the results. Receptionist could not book me an appointment. Said it had to be dealt with by the appointment booking team. I said but I have my diary here now. What’s the point on sending me a random appointment and possibly at a time I couldn’t make re work commitments. Totally ridiculous system and the amount of calls and visits to the surgery because I was not receiving any communication about an appointment. Totally unacceptable and once this current health issue I have is resolved I will be moving surgeries. I feel so strongly about how this was badly managed. Simple task of booking an appointment!! This system does not work!! I’ve had numerous conversations with other patients of Patford surgery who totally agree I don’t normally get involved with giving feedback as too busy working but feel really strongly about this matter. How can anyone possibly think this is the best way to run a doctors surgery!

    I have been treated brilliantly from the moment I first realised something wasn’t right, I’ve had happy helpful receptionists, professional nurses and doctors who are well read on my notes prior to any appointment’s. I still have a lot of a journey ahead of me but I’m more than happy to know I have the Patford house & Beaversbrook beside me.

    Saw a nurse about my problem and she kept looking on the Internet for symptoms, management and what to do if no better. I could have done exactly the same at home and come up with the same outcome. Not very professional to rely on the Internet for a non complicated problem and to continue to use it in front of me

    My appointment was to check on a questionable mole. The nurse at my first visit reassured me, but to double check arranged a second visit with doctor. All clear with politeness and no rush. Overall appointments were 6 weeks from initial phone call which is not good but is rather the norm now.
