We joined Blackthorn Heath Centre 6 months ago as we moved to Hamble. We have been very impressed so far. You can actually book an e-consultation and telephone consultation with a GP very easily. They refer you to specialists very quickly if need be and the whole staff are very friendly and professional. You can even book blood tests there without having to wait too long. What a difference with Whiteley Surgery which was our previous surgery. Well done Blackthorn Health Centre and thank you for all your hard work!

Very efficient and pleasant blood test appointment. Text alert prior to appointment. Automated check-in. Seen immediately. Great nurse. Out in five minutes.

Attended appointment for ear syringe. Was seen on time. Nurse examined ears and told me my ears were clear. She also explained what can cause you to think you’re ears are blocked and hearing poor. Then offered me flu jab on the spot (though I had an appointment booked for two weeks time.) Flu jab administered professionally with no pain (then or since). Excellent service.

The nurse that conducted my tests was extremely professional and put me at ease throughout the whole procedure. When referred to the doctor it was dealt with promptly and smoothly. The doctor was calming and explained thoroughly what was required in a reassuring manner. The only negative comment is how long it took to get an appointment in the first place.

I checked in for my appointment via my phone, to avoid queuing at reception, and not to take up their time seeing to others. Was called about 10 minutes after my allocated time, but the nurse apologised straight away for being late. Was having a vaccination.

All of the people at the practice were very polite and efficient and the nurse who took my blood was brilliant no pain or bruises. It did seem to be very quiet not many people in the waiting room
