Got an appointment on the day of ringing but had to keep my finger on the redial button . Was an hour late getting into my appointment as there was an emergency, which is ok but it would be a good idea to have a back up plan when this happens as people have to work and if another doctor isn’t available you have no choice but to wait or re book , which again is ok but it means more time away from work and for some people is not an option. When I did see the doctor he was fabulous listened to me asked all sorts of questions and reassured me completely. I would like to add that referring patients to 111 as a solution is not acceptable 111 and the hospitals are over run and have been fantastic over the past few years with covid it is now time for doctors surgeries to come from behind closed doors and man up! Two doctors surgeries last week no patients in the waiting room and receptionist telling patients on the phone that they are full and no appointments are left certainly doesn’t look good when you are sat in the waiting room on your own .Yes doctors have other things to do , not disputing that but come on !!! Also receptionists blaming pharmacies for patents prescriptions not being ready when they haven’t been printed is unbelievable again don’t lie be truthful you will be respected more for being open an honest than blaming someone else.

Having visited the surgery today for the first time I was really impressed with all the staff including the receptionist and the practice nurse. I was treated with respect and received excellent care .

I went for my first smear test today and I was very nervous not knowing what to expect. The nurse who did my test was absolutely lovely and really put me at ease. She made the experience stress free and as comfortable as possible. I really appreciated that she took the time to talk me through everything and answer any silly questions I had.

Our Nurses, will conduct cervical screening procedures and make sure the experience is as positive as possible. The UK NHS Cervical Screening Programme has made a significant impact on cervical cancer mortality since it was established in 1988 and we encourage all patients who are due a Smear Test to book and appointment. I had bloods taken but had another problem that the nurse looked at even though it wasn't her field of expertise. She advised me to get an appointment straightaway which I did and was thankful for her advice.

Great doctor, I felt heard, which was good as I was very apprehensive about going to the surgury. I thought I would be dismissed, this wasn't my experience. The nurses today where great, calming, caring and considerate.
