Review titled Good practice not so good telephone appointments

Face to face is 1st class practice. More than happy with the facilities, etc. However, on two occasions I have been messed about with telephone appointments (for a medication review via a prescription review person) wasting time off from work and running out of medication for over a week in the process. Because I'm waiting for the call that doesn't happen (my phone had good reception, etc) and then get a text/SMS to say 'Attempt to contact unsuccessful telephone for another appointment'. Next available is several days away and no-one wants to call me beforehand, despite me saying my medication will have ran out by next telephone appointment - that didn't happen again. I have since made a face to face appointment to see the doctor, but my medication has already ran out over a week by then and I am in much pain. It's the review of medication(s) that cause me stress more than anything else. Shame, otherwise brilliant.

I’ve been reading some very negative comments about this practice so I wanted to show a positive review I can’t thank the doctors and staff enough for all the support they give to my family I never struggle for an appointment & during appointments they are so thorough and cover every angle possible My eldest is going through a very difficult time and the care and attention to detail amazes me given how much doctors have to deal with on a daily basis So thank you College Green

My recent visit to cgmp has been a rewarding experience for me. My Doctor made me feel at ease any question I had was always answered and I felt my well being always came into consideration thank you very much.

Fantastic place everyone is so friendly and helpful would recommend to everyone doctors are lovely even called at 6.30 in the evening,physio was brilliant too

Currently struggling with multiple medical issues (arthritis, psoriasis, problems with period and lump on my arm). This practice always give me an appointment so although my issues are getting worse I would still recommend to others for basic medical things but not for multiple issues that would require time and investigation. Most of the doctors at this practice are good but I had a bad experience today with a male doctor who showed zero compassion and was quite rude. First time this happened with this GP so would still recommend to others

I would like to be able to help in any way I can and I can guarantee that the clinical team at CG will feel the same. Please mention to the receptionist that you need to discuss more than one medical issue and therefor a double appointment should be booked. If you wish to discuss anything with me in complete confidence, please call the surgery and leave a message for me to call you back. As a newcomer to the area, I have found College Green Medical Practice to be wonderful. When I walk in to ask for a repeat prescription, it is dealt with straightaway, with a local pharmacy delivering it to my door. Each doctor I have seen has carefully diagnosed what was wrong and has prescribed effective medication. When I first became a patient, I was thoroughly examined and referred, as appropriate, for further investigation. The reception team members are always patient, kind and helpful, which is very important when you’re old. Even very recently I saw a Partner Doctor about a sensitive situation, and she helped me with her patience and understanding. I can’t speak highly enough of the attention and support I have received from College Green Medical Practice. Thank you, everyone!

I turned up to the appointment to hear that the appointment had been cancelled without notifying me. Usually messages are automated but someone must have missed to let me know.

Went for a blood test and physiotherapy, easy to check in, helpful receptionist, friendly, professional nurse and physio , easy to book appointment and order medications.

The physiotherapist attended to me in a very empathetic way, very explanatory, very compassionate,gentle, she chooses her words with caution and very good at what she does. Sincerely she is very brilliant.
