All I needed was a repeat prescription…. There is no longer an option when you telephone the surgery to leave your details on the automated system to request a repeat prescription. Website is down and the app was not showing me the medication I need a prescription for. Phoned yesterday, I was 36th in the queue - goodness knows how long I would have been on hold for so decided not to wait. Phoned today, I was 11th in the queue and waited 45 minutes before the call was answered. All I needed was a repeat prescription - grrr!! This is absolutely desperate and totally unacceptable!

Dear Liz I am sorry to hear you had a long hold on the telephone, our staff endeavour to answer the phones as quickly as possible, however some calls do take longer to deal with than others. there are various options for requesting repeat prescriptions you can email these to nencicb-ng.scripts.crawcrook@nhs.net, or you can post them into one of the presctiption boxes available in all practices. The front of staff are really helpful & friendly. My Doctor has been absolutely brilliant in helping me through a very difficult time in my life. When I’ve had telephone appointments she really listens. Thank you.

I can only report my own experiences and I have always either been able to speak to someone or be seen quickly. Recently the nursing team have been amazing caring for me with a wound problem.

A summary of why I think Crawcrook Medical Centre is an excellent practice - I have found the staff knowledgeable, skilled and caring. They are committed to understanding why the patient booked an appointment in the first place, i.e. what's wrong, and to finding a way(s) to deal with the issue(s).

I’ve only joined the practice recently and I’ve had a wonderful experience so far, the staff are very courteous and helpful, questions are answered and all concerns properly addressed. I can’t fault them in any way.

Mercifully the practice is back to what it once was. Helpful caring considerate. Not to mention following through to find the root of the problem. I’m happy to say Crawcrook is a wonderful practice once again

I use the practice every month for blood tests, I rarely need to see a doctor other than diabetic reviews, overall the service is good and the staff very helpful. The only issue is repeat prescriptions, and the general move to Web based systems, setting these things up may be simple for some but I find them tedious and not designed for those like me. Help for this could useful.

Rang the practice and got a same day appointment without any problem at all I was seen by an ANP who was excellent.I have always been happy with the service and treatment that I have received here.
