    After handing in a form so as to be refered, Haxby has lost the form and have no idea of where it is. This form contains personal information and I feel that, by losing it, have put my information at risk. I have tried to find out what is happening but without any support. This is not the first time a referral, for myself, has gone missing.

    After following the procedure on the online service for an appointment regarding our 16 year old son how needed to see a doctor regarding tonsillitis. We made the request first thing on the Thursday morning 23rd March , we had absolutely no response apart from a text saying thanks for requesting an appointment, no appointment but please can we share your details with our pharmacy, now 5.30 pm and at York hospital with our son due to his airway narrowing. Absolutely discussed at this medical practice, difficult times through covid and fully understand phone discussions prior to seeing a doctor face to face , however the world has had the need to all go back to work except doctors and trying to see a doctor, please stop using covid as an excuse and your patients that you are paid to see .

    I have been on hold on the telephone 1hour and 27mins just to move down 3 spaces in the queue. You have just added more stress to my already very high blood pressure, which i can't get in to see a doctor for and can't take the medication prescribed because I now have to wait another 3 days for blood tests to be done!! You need to start caring abit more about your patients!!!

    Booked an online appointment mid December 2022. Got an appointment 13 weeks later in mid March 2023. I had two issues by this time. One was a pain down my leg when driving for longer periods, and the other was issues related to my prostate. I was referred for a physio assessment which at this time, mid September, has not happened. The second issue, the prostate, I asked for an MRI scan as I have a family history and have some symptoms. I was absolutely flabbergasted when the doctors reply was ‘ that’s expensive’. They did refer me for an urology appointment which again I have not received. The result of the leg ache is I have paid for three osteopath appointments and the conclusion is I should return to the doctors and ask for an mri. I can hear the response. The result of waiting for the urology referral is that I paid for an mri scan which was done on the 11th of July, got the results on the 14th. Took the results by hand to the GP. Enquired a month later as to the outcome to be told they wasn’t on the system. Took another copy to the GP and they are now on the system but still no word from the urology dept. It is not surprising that prostate cancer is the biggest issue for men if this is the timeline of the service we are receiving from GP’s. Women get breast scans through their life, why don’t men get a similar concern over their prostate?

    I have been very grateful for the prompt responses when, recently, I have needed reasonably urgent care. It was forthcoming, with lovely, caring doctors, respectful, thorough and kind receptionists answering the telephone calls, and the overall impression of people actually responding when one sincerely needs help.

    Worse surgery I’ve ever been to. In the 5 months of being a patient never been able to speak to a doctor or nurse in person. Only get rude text messages, incorrect information from reception staff. I’m changing practice, absolutely disgusting service.

    Have been told I don’t need urgent appointment You will get one in 8 weeks Have lost hearing in left ear so I am now deaf in one ear for 8 weeks It could be infection or something more serious seems like they couldn’t care less.

    I’ve been waiting 8 weeks for an appointment having been referred by my dentist and cancer care nurse. Been told to try and phone tomorrow. You can’t get through anyway. It doesn’t help your mental health all this !

    Rang requesting a home visit due to medical history and considerably ill with what we presumed an infection. Received a telephone call no home visit offered as decided it was antibiotics required and steroids and if no better in 4 days would do a home visit. As this was a recurring issue from before Christmas I would have preferred an examination in the hope it could be seen how bad the infection was and possibly avoid a recurrence again. I shall endeavour a face to face appointment when the course of antibiotics have ended for some reassurance that it has actually cleared up this time. I’m not holding my breath!!
