My review is off the service I have gotten from a doctor I’m sadly not able to name in a review over few calls and through some tough times, after some awful issues I’ve had dealing with the practice, I’ve complained so it’s only fair that when a person who explains things thoroughly, asks questions and attempts to make you feel important, I’d like to show appreciation for that to. At the Wilnecote practise to their is one receptionist who is outstanding and has empathy and goes the extra mile, I’d like to name them both but can’t here. But after a plethora of issues, I’m grateful I’ve had a bit of a better experience through them.

Multiple times i have my repeat prescription left unreviewed and have to ring after 4 5 days to be told it will go to the dr, why has it took me to ring for it to go to the dr. Delays often cause people to go without tablets and put unnecessary stress on nhs 111. Surgery has decided its closed today, no warning, other number to contact rings out that even 111 couldn't speak to anyone to help. Never had the same gp or medical practitioner either when i actually get a face to face consultation

Dear Patient, I am sorry to hear you are having issues obtaining your repeat medications. Just to let you know we do take 3 days to process any requests and if are they put in early they are held back till they are due before being sent to the GP but still within their timeframes. We are closed one Tuesday afternoon per month for training and updates (as all surgeries in Tamworth also) but I will look into why the alternative number did not work. If you still feel you have an issue please call and speak with either a prescription clerk or a Manager. Kind regards Operational Manager

I had a telephone appointment to take about my prescription drugs and my conditions, having spoken to the doctor he booked me a same day face to face appointment, at which he was very thorough, polite, helpful and informative. Now booked for further tests, but felt like I was listened too, and the Doctor was understanding of my concerns

Today, I contacted the practice following a injury to my neck. They were at full capacity but the receptionist managed to arrange a call back. She kept me updated with roughly when the call would be and was very kind. During the consultation, the practitioner was very empathetic and listened to my concerns to decide the best course of treatment. I would highly recommend this practice, I've never had a bad experience with them.

Ringing up for an appointment is always hit or miss as they run out fast, I was lucky in this occasion. The receptionist seemed less than happy as is often the case here. The call was handled efficiently however. The appointment itself was taken a doctor whom I have been seeing frequently for my particular problem, and he is always courteous and understanding, knowledgeable and confident. Not all doctors are created equal but most of the doctors at this practice are very good.

I had to call in to book an appointment for a drugs review and as per usual the lines were engaged. However perseverance pays off. Sit in the queue and be a patient patient and I got through to a lovely lady who arranged a telephone call that morning. By ten am the doctor had called and did the review in a professional friendly and sympathetic way and made me feel very at ease. I would recommend them and say just be patient and your turn will come. Thank you NHS
