    I have not attended the surgery for quite a while. The changes to the building are an improvement, parking is still awkward but the service/ treatment and help received were excellent

    I have always been happy with the services provided by the practice. I was sceptical about the new booking system but something needed to be done as getting through to the practice was fretful to say the least. I completed the form and 40 minutes later I was offered an appointment. I need to stress I was not unwell. I was offered an appointment in 3 weeks to discuss and look at treatment options. Under the circumstances and pressures of which practices are operating. I was more than happy.

    I called at the practice to arrange a call ,the call came in a short time and a GP call was suggested. The GP call came as promised and a face to face was arranged for the same day. I was seen on time and given a thorough examination and a plan of treatment was suggested and medication given . What more could I ask for .

    Just called the surgery to make an appointment or a call back for an ear infection as advised by an audiologist yesterday. Phoned up and explained about the fact I have puss in my ear, and this is my 7th infection this year. The call taker stated that I need a letter from the audiology dept to prove that my ear is infected. And in turn cannot have a call back or an appointment to get some antibiotics. It’s absolutely pathetic. The new system is a waste of money and resources. Ever since inspire health took over this surgery, it’s been a complete shambles, staff are leaving in numbers and they still seem to operate as though there’s a pandemic going on. I wouldn’t recommend this practice it’s absolutely pathetic.

    I am very sorry you have experienced problems in trying to make an appointment or speak to a clinician about your health issue. We will try to locate the exact time of your call and review the specific circumstances. We will of course take remedial action if we find a shortfall in our service. Please be reassured that the practice has not been taken over by 'Inspire Health', this was simply a change in name for our group of 3 practice sites following a merger in 2018. The ownership and management of the practice has remained the same. With a large number of staff and a growing trend in part-time working, we do experience some expected staff changes. We do recruit new staff into any vacancies. There are some difficulties when trying to recruit new GPs and this is a wider/national problem experienced by practices around the country. Please be reassured that post pandemic, the practice is operating a full and normal service for patients. Thank you for your feedback and once again, please accept my apologies for any problems you have experienced.

    I have been under the the care of a nursing associate for an ongoing leg injury and she is amazing. She has been in contact to ensure that I have a care plan, checked my records to reassure me that all referrals have been actioned. She has explained very clearly what needs to happen and what to expect and what I need to do to take care of myself. She is so empathetic and understanding. I saw her again today and she was again so reassuring and caring. She really is a wonderful person they are really lucky to have her at the practice.

    Tried to make an appointment at 3pm time via the totally unworkable triage system online, it wouldn't allow me to make an appointment apparently all the slots had gone by 11am, rang through and was told they can't do anything for me and to ring back from 7am in the morning, this is no use to me my hours are 2am to 11am so the appointments are gone when I can get online. I have severe pain in my ear and it's leaking. Where is the care at this practice, am I now supposed to go to a&e or call 111 ??

    Dear Patient, We are sorry to hear that you experienced issues when trying to make an appointment. Unfortunately we can not offer an unlimited number of appointments and these do get booked up in the morning and often have to redirect patients to other services when capacity has been reached that day. We have recently implemented a new online triage system in which you can submit a form online or by contacting the surgery. All forms submitted are then triaged by a GP who will allocate appointments as appropriate and within a suitable and safe time frame. We open this form from 07:30 onward to allow greater flexibility and we do also provide patients who are unable to complete these forms (due to disability, age, working patterns etc) the option of completing these later on in the day by contacting the surgery. We hope this new system will allow some flexibility to patient's working patterns. Kind Regards, Inspire Health Management Team
