This was a phone appointment with a doctor about a repeat prescription. The call was great and the drugs were recommenced. However, it had taken 3 weeks to get to this stage as face to face discussions at the surgery pharmacy, online requests etc were all "dismissed" with no update to me, or any attempt to contact me. I made 4 attempts to request this drug, it was an uphill battle. Can't fault the quality of care once I get to speak to doctors or nurses, its just the barriers to access that cause great stress, huge delays, and leave you feeling uncared for.

Rather to my surprise I got an appointment a week ahead by going to the desk early in the day. Had tried Anima but found it clunky and call back system didn’t work. Consultation was friendly and open. I was surprised that the Anima request was not easily available to the doctor who saw me. I felt listened to; issues were taken seriously; and the outcomes were helpful. Not clear how I was to report back on progress. My general feeling was very positive in terms of interaction with the doctor but some doubts about the system.

Reception staff were very polite and didn’t have to wait long in waiting room to see the doctor . I have been able to see the same doctor on my last few appointments and she is very nice and doesn’t make you feel rush

I am generally happy with the GP practise, I like that you can book an appointment online for non urgent. Urgent care is more challenging and when one of my children need attention that is stressful. Most of the GPs are great when you see them, and follow up care by individual GPs is great. That said, my most recent appointment was with someone I’m not familiar with (maybe new or covering) and was disappointing/ unhelpful.

Doctor phone called at allocated time and was extremely helpful. Photos sent of my son’s skin rash and the GP called back within minutes and prescribed two lots of cream.

The care system in Stamford is broken, confusing and full of pointless bureaucracy. The wait for GP’s is to long and simple care that could be done via calls if they only listened to actual patients needs and were practical would see vast improvements. Received a call from the doctor, unwilling to help over the phone, only in person! Paid for online consultation quick video call, treatment and meds supplied in five mins at cost of £149. Lakeside response, join an online website, ring constantly to speak with reception in a queue. They need to understand that some patients try to keep the strain down on the system by actually being practical freeing up more care for the vulnerable, however you are so caught up in red tape and mismanagement it is unreal. How this company is allowed to run care is beyond me.

Lakeside Stamford has come on in leaps and bounds with prompt friendly service and excellent doctors. I telephoned the surgery Friday morning with a severe cough…l was seen by a doctor at 11.25 a.m and received appropriate medication after a thorough check up.Excellent.
