Tried calling at exactly 0800hrs for the past 3 days for a GP appointment. At 0800hrs all urgent appointments have been taken and the queue is full. At 0800!!!!??? Used to be a good GP practice pre-Covid but they seem to have gone backwards/not moved forward - cannot get through on phone, cannot get an appointment, cannot see a GP.... What is going on!!??

The experience i had today with the diabetic nurse was genuinely amazing. This is the first time i have ever felt that the practitioner in front of me knew what they were talking about, listened and could empathise with my situation. Her knowledge was outstanding amd she took the time to listen and then give advice. She genuinely seem to care, which is extremely rare. I felt that i could trust her judgement and advice and asked her if she personally delivered any courses around diabetes. She was a very warm individual and was very complimentary which also gave the review a more personal feeling, rather than a standard check up.

Went for a diabetic review the practitioner was thorough and helpful and very knowledgeable. I was seen on time and I really felt that they were interested in helping.

I received a very polite and informative telephone call. The practice Nurse provided me with very relevant information on how to effectively manage my diabetes. I was also provided information on relevant bodies whom I can refer to for other forms of advice.

During my appointment today the Diabetes Practice Nurse was so kind and supportive. She was able to help with a new plan to help me. She gave me time and listened and helped me understand what I needed to do. I was feeling very low but afterwards felt much better. She is a real asset to the practice.

Very helpful review with HC assistant. Information on diet given as borderline diabetic. Very approachable and I felt I was being listened to on all issues.

i tried phoning the doctors today as they missed 2 of my medication the queue was full so tried again and they had an option for prescriptions , thought great , pushed 3 it rang 3 times and the cut the phone call. tried 3 times more same thing . puzzles me what they put options on if the dont even work .

I am absolutely appalled at the low level of service from Lister House. I have been trying to contact them for 2 weeks to arrange a GP appointment. Following emergency treatment at the hospital, I desperately need blood pressure medication and cannot even talk to a receptionist. I’ve been able to access the queue once, and after waiting an hour and 15 minutes, the surgery closed and the phone was cut off. I’m completely at a loss and don’t know what to do.

I complained the phone service was completely unreachable. I complained how difficult it was to book an out of hours appointment. Delighted to say that I called today was number 25 in the queue but could ask for a callback when I reached the front of the queue. Received the callback and booked appointment. Well done, it’s good to see that raising a complaint does necessitate an improvement and a response, thank you.
