Whenever I need to talk with or see a clinician, I can, the same day. Talking with friends this seems almost unique & they cannot believe the access & service I receive from the Medwyn. During the pandemic the practice remained open including face to face appointments if necessary. All the staff, including receptionists, are friendly, helpful & professional. I have over the years had appointments with the Nurse Practitioners (NP) who are excellent. Recently I have been unwell with a nasty virus which has lasted into a third week. I contacted the Medwyn via e mail & received an appointment one hour later with a NP. I was assessed & prescribed antibiotics. The following day I felt much worse & in the afternoon recontacted the surgery. Within the hour I had a GP face to face appointment & reassessment. This is outstanding practice & very reassuring for patients. The Medwyn is obviously very well managed & efficient. They appear to use technology well, train staff well & it appears to me, as a patient, that it is a happy place to work. I think they use skill mix appropriately which helps efficiency & means that the doctors can use their skills to the full. It is very clear that everyone works extremely hard. The above is just one of the outstanding experiences received over the years. All my extended family, including those with children, use the services of the Medwyn & all of us rave about the service & how lucky we are to have such excellent primary care. Thank you

I saw a doctor about my problem on the day I requested an appointment. He was very calm and considerate and explained what would be the next step and why.

Never any problems getting an Appointment. I've Always been able to either see or Speak to Doctor regarding any health problems..

We’re always quickly attended too, great service and care. We always hear such negative things about other practices from other people but we really can’t complain about ours, they are just brilliant. Super organised and efficient too.

I have always found the Doctors at the Medwyn to be above average competence. You may not always see the same one, but they are all of a certain standard Very happy, thanks to all the staff!

They followed up quickly on a routine test which revealed a potential problem. Communication was good by phone call, text and in person. I was seen promptly in person and given the time needed to resolve issues.

I received an attentive and thorough consultation first face to face and subsequently by phone. On the first occasion I was asked a comprehensive set of questions and given a range of physical tests During the follow-up call I was informed in a clear manner about the result of blood tests I had been given in the meantime and the recommended action in respect of one of them. The drugs available to treat my condition were explained along with their pros and cons. It had already been explained to me during the face to face session that it was "challenging" to treat with medication the condition which had prompted the original contact.

While the NHS is arguably facing the toughest time of all in its 70 year history it is comforting to know that Medwyn is still there for you and that you do get seen quicker than reports might suggest. I have been with Medwyn for about 17 years and with one or two rare exceptions have found a consistently high standard.

This practice is efficient, practical, caring and friendly, and is functioning really well in looking after its patients. Appointments are fixed at short notice when needed and they make full use of tests and specialists where necessary to see if there is a problem and diagnose it. The website is very efficient and easy to use and the practice is extremely responsive to anyone who is concerned or worried. I would strongly recommend them,.
