    I had a t/c Ax on 29.01 meds were prescribed pharmacy didn't have and advised on alternative made t/c to surgery for meds to be changed 24hrs later went to pharmacy to pick up, on getting home I realised the medication wasn't a full course but half. Made another t/c to surgery to confirm, it was confirmed that prescription wasn't complete and the rest would be sent I advised that I hope it will rectified and I won't have to pay another prescription, the receptionist advised she understood my point and would call me back, didn't get a call but a text later saying to pick up prescription. On getting to the pharmacy I had to pay another £9.65 I was upset about this. I had to pay for another person's mistake without an explanation or apology, felt cheated. Would appreciate it if this can be sorted. Thanks

    the new system is terrible. In your system, I asked that I need to consult with the dakrar, I didn't get any confirmation. Only when I called in the evening, the receptionist said that they would call me the same day. I received a confirmation message, but no one called. the next day I received a message that he would call me. I was very stressed because I can't answer the phone at work. I think I was very lucky that I had a lunch break and the doctor contacted me. I told him everything and at the end of the conversation I found out that it was not a doctor but only a pharmacist.. It was horrible. I was shocked that I had to share my problems with half the world until I got a prescription.

    Dear patient, I am sorry to hear you were unhappy following a recent contact with us. Our Pharmacy team, based here at the surgery and part of our extended team are often the best people in the team to deal with medication issues. Regarding call back times, if you cannot take a call at work, the more information you give us when you fill in the online form, about how and when you can be contacted, means that we are much more likely to be able to contact you when it is easier for you to answer your phone/text. The clinical team are working through the (clinical) medical requests, booking in consultations where appropriate for patients or dealing with the patients request in the most clinically appropriate way, so to be clear your problems were shared initially with a senior member of the clinical team to enable them to get you help from the most appropriate member of our wide ranging team, which these days includes: • Doctors • Advanced Nurse Practitioners • Primary Care Matrons • Nurse Practitioners • Practice Nurses • Health Care Assistants • Clinical prescribing Pharmacists • Care-Coordinators • Social Prescribing Link Workers • Podiatrist • Physiotherapist I hope this explanation is helpful, Nene Valley Hodgson Medical Practice Management Team.

    The overall experience with the Dr's and nurses are usually positive ones, however the actual process still of trying to get appointments is a chore, even with the new system it takes weeks to get anything on the go as far as speaking to a GP. I recently tried submitting a request for almost 2 weeks recently and failed each time due to no more slots ( even as early as 830 am) . Then, when i finallly did get on I was given a 10 day wait for a call back! Then another 9 days for my test results. It seems you have to many on your books to cope and a lack of staff to accommodate your patients putting people at risk of diseases and illness taking hold due to delays in appointments. A fairer system would be one when some appointments are reserved for the afternoon as not everyone works shifts where they can submit a request or call at 730/830 am. This way people may try to request appointments from 2 pm like we used to as well.

    Dear patient, thank you for your feedback. Yes very difficult to match patient demand with our safe capacity. The reason the practice has made changes to its appointment system is as a direct result of contractual changes imposed on us by NHS England, some of the changes they have made involve the way we must offer patients an assessment at the time of every appointment request, we have been able to achieve this via the ‘Accurx total triage’ model, where all requests come in the same route to the practice and then each and every patient request is then reviewed and triaged by a senior member of our clinical need, then the most appropriate outcome for each and every request can then be offered, and booked in. It is therefore true that at times we do reach our safe capacity but this differs from day to day, depending on the demand we face and the capacity we have. I am sorry you have had to wait to get seen and treated, there are days when we still have capacity through to the afternoons, we are not always at capacity in the morning each day.     I made an online request at 7.30 in the morning, by 855 I was told I needed antibiotics and they would be at my chemist within the hour. Fantastic and speedy response. Thank you.

    I had a blood test yesterday, 9:30am, in and out no messing around. By 4pm I had the results! Did take a few weeks before there was an appointment for me to come in. But can’t fault the care and attention once I did!

    I sent message to surgery with two problems. When I got callback, following details I was instructed to go to surgery, but only allowed one problem to be discussed. After speaking to the medical student I was seen by doctor but nothing was done so was sent home in excruciating discomfort and basically had to care for myself.

    This new system is worse than the last. I was told the website is open from 730-10 only. Medical secs cannot message GP if needed. Thought last system was bad - it is bad but this is worse. Does anyone care? I honestly don’t think so. It’s hard enough to get an appt face to face these days, no one cares or wants to see anyone. System years ago when you could book in advance was far better and naturally having an on call dr who was there for all urgent. Pch and other hospitals are face to face. Why do the drs hide in their offices!

    Dear patient, thank you for your review. I am sorry to read of your unhappiness. Our new system via the website is not set by time (7.30 - 10am) its set by the number of requests we get in, inevitably we get more requests earlier on some days than others, there have been days when the online request function is still open way into the afternoon this does depend directly on patient demand on any one day. The reason the practice has made changes to its appointment system is as a direct result of contractual changes imposed on us by NHS England, some of the changes they have made involve the way we must offer patients an assessment at the time of every appointment request, we have been able to achieve this via the ‘Accurx total triage’ model, where all requests come in the same route to the practice and then each and every patient request is then reviewed and triaged by a senior member of our clinical need, then the most appropriate outcome for each and every request can then be offered, and booked in. The key to the success of the system as it is the most senior and experienced clinically trained staff that are reading and reviewing each patient request and then ‘signposting’ the request to the best resource in the system which actually frees up time for our clinical team to deal with the sickest of our patients when they need us, while all the other requests for help get dealt with by the right person in the large multidisciplinary team. Our staff still see patients face to face on a day to day basis but these are where this is a clinically appropriate as there are so many other things that can appropriately be dealt with over the phone, but I agree with you that not all can.     Using the new system booking via app. It works but the time to appointment is still to long. Eg took 9 days for callback and then appointment 2 days later. Doctors are friendly and efficient enough once seen

    Dear patient, thank you for taking the time to post us a review of our new Accurx total triage system. I am glad to read that you got a booked appointment and were seen. I understand your frustration at the length of time you had to wait, but the important thing to remember is that your request, once submitted was reviewed by a senior member of the clinical team and a timescale was assigned to your request based on the medical request itself. It the request had warranted more urgent attention than 9 days, based on the information submitted, you would have had an appointment booked sooner. For example, some patients who submit their online request get dealt with the same day or the next day, but his is all based on the clinical need of each request. I hope this explanation is helpful.
