The Nurse was very pleasant and helpful. I have not had any dealings with this surgery for quite some time and getting through on the phone is difficult but the Nurse was very efficient and listened to me

Came for blood test. Sat in wrong part of practice and phlebotomist thought I was in the toilet but didn’t come to the corridor where I was. All that was needed was to walk to the next corridor and shout my name. To be fair I signed myself in and sat in corridor where I’d sat a few months earlier.

The doctor was warm and welcoming and gave me her time generously. She listened to my health problems, examined me, and prescribed for a multi-faceted condition, and I left feeling relieved and extremely grateful and happy that I had seen her.

Went to surgery 9.30am and got an appointment for that day . Staff very helpful and polite. Saw the Dr and he sorted out blood samples and an pray straight away. Can't fault the service I received. The surgery seems to have turned around

Telephone appt arranged by surgery after medical investigations This practice, as all the nhs is struggling with technical change, plus over subscription, and insufficient time. As is everyone else in the working world! However I have found them helpful, and efficient on this occasion and many others I find myself reluctant to embark upon the hassle of making an appointment, the digital site never seems to function for various reasons. Not less the fact that I can’t decide which site I am supposed to be using! mYFT for example, or the surgeries own site? Really good therefore when the practice calls me I would suggest an email drop to all patients with a link to a simple “join up” site This would allow one to know where to start at least By no means naive to technology, particularly to NHS type . I still struggle As always I find all staff willing to assist.

: Telephone consultation with a locum doctor. It appeared that she had no clue as to why I’d requested an appointment & hadn’t took the time to have studied my case notes , my background history or even the on line comments submitted for the appointment. She had zero knowledge whatsoever of the NHS patients choice framework / patient charter & refused to accept any explanation of such - despite my attempts to explain them to her as I have sound knowledge of both these NHS protocols which I have studied in great detail. When I indicated to her that under these protocols it was my legal right to be considered for referral to a private provider, she merely replied “ I don’t think so unless you wish to pay” when I tried to draw her attention to the fact that she was totally incorrect, she became extremely dismissive & impatient to end the call / conversation as quickly as possible. She never once mentioned my condition or enquired about my well being nor displayed any empathy whatsoever. The consultation ended with my insisting that she commited to referring my case back to one of the doctors admin secretaries with whom I had dealt with previously. Despite her agreeing to do so , I will be amazed if this happens anytime soon. This unsavoury experience displayed no duty of care towards me / my condition/ well being whatsoever & sadly has left me feeling extremely frustrated , unsupported & with a sour taste & my mouth which won’t go away for a long time. My confidence in the practice has been severely dented to say the least & after over 40yrs with them , I am seriously considering whether I wish to continue with them. Rest assured I will never willingly or knowingly elect to enter into an appointment with a locum doctor ever again.
