    Helpful professional Good advice But suggested ringing to make an appointment with the surgery pharmacist. I was in a queue for 27 minutes, 10 of them as caller number one, so still not managed that

    Referral was created super fast so well done. Unfortunately there were no available appointments at either of the hospitals

    Rude and unhelpful reception staff. On presenting at the surgery to manually present a prescription request as the new system being incorporated by the practice has removed the ability to order through the app. Stood solely for a long while waiting for the receptionist to acknowledge me whilst she tapped away on her keyboard. Finally she did. Explained my reasons for being there and that I needed to check when my annual bloods and blood pressure checks were due. She returned to tapping away on her keyboard and then told me to phone later that afternoon to speak to reception? I asked if the lady could not look now. At that point I noticed 2 further people come to reception behind me. The response I got from reception was a resounding no as she had a queue of people! I was flabbergasted and my response was ‘you do now as I have stood here for so long’. With this I told the receptionist to forget it and I walked out. I myself worked for 15 years in GP practices and I have never ever witnessed or heard anything like that attitude from a staff member to a patient. I have also been a patient since 1991 with Oakhall Surgery. The Practice Manager seriously needs to look at offering further training to reception staff.

    After 4 months plus finally got home visit re flu and pneumo vax. Endless letters as if it was my fault I hadn't had them, yet when I kept phoning surgery just told 'on the list, wait'. Finally one eventually chased it up but too late for Covid- ridic! So some fob you off, some do the job. ????

    The Receptionist staff are all very helpful and welcoming, and go out of their way to assist with whatever the issue is. The Doctors and Surgery management, Nurses, Pharmacist and ALL the entire team work so cohesively and professionally together, and the entire team are always so supportive and helpful. This forms the ‘Family Doctor’ experience every time. Whenever health issues are of a concern, I know I can realistically rely upon all of everyone’s expertise to support me, and my family, through, and their genuine concern, and the way they encourage the feeling of being valued as a patient really goes a long way to such welcomed positivity. The Surgery is always a clean and safe place to visit too. I am so grateful and proud to be a patient at Oak Hall Surgery. I shall never allow a bad word to be said against such a hard working, supportive and caring team of dedicated professionals, and will continue to support their efforts with my gratitude and congratulations. Thank you so very much to each and every single person whom has helped me, and my family, over the past years, and with many more to come. We all truly appreciate all that you do, especially through such modern and difficult times.

    I was given a phone consult with a "practitioner ". Who agreed to prescibe pain relief for my severe arthritis in hip. Not sure why a GP couldn't discuss it with me. I have only spoken briefly to a GP twice on phone in 4 years. I now have to wait 30 + weeks to just get an appointment with the Orthopaedic surgeon. I was referred to Orthopaedic Physio a year ago who did very little apart from sending me for a MRI scan to confirm my diagnosis. Which I knew before seeing them. Nothing has moved forward for over a year.

    I was called back from the automatic system within 20 minutes , I was booked in for examination on the same day. The staff are highly professional and caring.

    I was able to get a same day appointment with no issues. The receptionist I spoke to and the doctor were both friendly and understanding.
