    The surgery was welcoming, clean, bright and very quiet - only one other patient waiting to be seen. I was seen by the nurse before my scheduled time. All staff were polite and helpful.

    I arrived on time and was seen on time. The person dealing with my injection was professional and polite. They answered any questions I had. I was totally satisfied with the experience.

    I am a patient at Portsdown Group Practice and I have tried every option available to me to book a routine GP appointment today without any luck. I called at midday for a routine appointment and was told they had gone. I tried submitting an e-consult, a mere 8 minutes after the facility becomes available, and the system had closed after receiving its daily limit of e-consults. I logged on at 7pm to book online, and yep, you guessed, no appointments available. Why do I have to call back again and again, day after day, to get a routine GP appointment when I work full-time and can't just leave my job to make a call, or book online. I have stopped taking my blood pressure medication, my HRT, my antidepressants, because I cannot book an appointment to see anyone at the surgery to review my medication. They won't put it on repeat and ask me to jump through hoops to even speak to someone. I'm in tears as I write this because I am scared for my health due to recent concerns with migraines, high blood pressure and sleep apnoea. I got referred to a dietician for sleep apnoea, how is a dietician going to help me because I stop breathing at night? A year later and the dietician has referred me to a Stress Management Course....is this a joke? I just want to talk to a GP before something serious happens to me. I'm sure I am not the only one experiencing these issues, we all are, but this GP practice appears to be badly managed and has maybe taken on too many patients. Please tell me how this crisis will be resolved? I'm tired of being told to go to A&E or dial 111 adding further pressure to the NHS.

    This practice is an absolute shambles, I have been trying to get in touch due to worries about a mole/skin lesion and no one seems to care in the slightest. Getting on the econsult is impossible and so is even speaking to a doctor, I often wonder what this practice is actually getting paid for considering they don’t want to see or speak to any of their patients. So disappointed

We would advise that currently all areas of the health service have capacity issues and demand is often more than we can safely provide. Our eConsults are available from 6.30pm weekday evenings, as do our routine appointments. We have several clinicians available than can assist with dermatology queries and you do not necessarily need to be seen by a GP.

    Cannot Get through 8am tobe told at 10 no more appointments phone back tomorrow said I will come in at 2pm and wait to be told I wouldn't be put on the triage list

    The reception was good when I booked appointment and it was the same day but I must say crookhorn is very good always helpful and it's so clean over ther e and when I saw the doctor it was a lady forgot her name but she was great I know there very busy but she gave you so much of her time very good experie nce

    Having experienced not being able to get on to e-consult for several days, I spoke to a receptionist who kindly emailed me a link. Using the link, I have still struggled to get on line to complete the form as by 6.31pm it had stopped you completing a form due to meeting maximum numbers. The phone system has improved considerably but there needs to be a better system or the practice needs to increase the number of e-consults that they will accept each day. The reason for e-consult was to reduce the need for an appointment. Now, your symptoms get worse due to not receiving medication quick enough. Today, I got on at 6.30pm and got to the form, pressed back as I answered a question incorrectly and I lost the form. By 6.31pm it would not allow me to complete an e-consult until tomorrow. It is the most frustrating system and I can understand why people go to the walk-in for minor ailments. I feel extremely sorry for the older generation who don’t understand computers and will probably struggle or even not bother to contact their GP.

    You can never get an appointment even when holding on phone at 8am then being cut off Been trying for 3 weeks to get an appointment no additional help avaliable they just say sorry phone back tomorrow I wonder how many people have died due to this shocking service The reply will be standard and no good what so ever and they have just take on 9000 patients from north harbour practice which closed I wonder if they get monies for the amount of patients on there books rather than patients seen Please don't get ill you've got zero chance to see a gp there

    Thank you for your feedback. Since changing and upgrading our telephone system, we are receiving a lot more positive feedback from our patients, especially with the callback facility, you no longer need to hold, if you prefer not to. We have recently had just over 4000 North Harbour patients join the Practice, this was working closely with the ICB, to ensure that patients could continue to receive a service and that no single Practice took on all the patients. We will monitor the impact on the service we provide and make changes where required.

    Got on the phones at 8am and chose to hold rather than select the new callback option. I was 22 in the queue. Was only on hold for 8 minutes and was kindly arranged a triage call. 30 odd minutes later, a GP called and prescribed some antibiotics for me. Really pleased with the service I received today.
