Review titled How do I get to see a Doctor
Rated 3 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 10 October 2024
Doctor asks for blood test and ECG and says to make appointment for face to face GP appointment afterwards. Blood test and ECG done. Reception advise you can't make a face to face appointment as it doesn't work like that! They will make the appointment when they get the results! 5 weeks later still awaiting the face to face appointment. No-one even contacts you to advise when your results are. How do you get your health problem diagnosed or treated at Reach Healthcare?

Dear Patient, Thank you for sharing your experience. I am sorry to hear about the difficulties you’ve faced in arranging a follow-up appointment and receiving your test results. This is not the level of care we strive to provide, and I understand how frustrating and concerning this situation must be for you. Test results are accessible via the NHS App once available to us. This can provide quicker access to your results at your convenience. Additionally, you can request an appointment online using Anima. This might help streamline the process for booking future consultations. If you are still waiting for your appointment or need further assistance, please contact us directly at kmicb.feedback.reachhealthcare@nhs.net and we will do our best to resolve this promptly. Thank you again for your feedback. It is important to us, and we will use it to make the necessary improvements. Kind regards, Reach Healthcare Management Team

Review titled Overall a good practice
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by TopTaurus - Posted on 10 October 2024
I have the advantage of having worked in a medical environment and know it can be challenging. Overall Reach Healthcare is a good practice. You get to see a doctor if warranted and the specialist nurses are very knowledgeable and helpful. Importantly the medical staff listen. Receptionists sometimes give conflicting information/advice and can be abrupt. When I recently had occasion to phone for relatively urgent advice I was told that as I had an email address I could only use Anima and they couldn't help - great but the request system was closed by 8.40! Better training? Online system is OK but it can be difficult to send in a request as they get overwhelmed with patient numbers. However, it would be useful if you could submit requests for prescriptions outside of this as the alternative is to visit the surgery which is not always practical. Overall they do well.

Review titled Great experience at Balmoral Garden
Rated 4 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 26 July 2024
For a long time, we have had difficulty with this practice. Being Gillingham patients, we were asked to attend appointments at Lordswood, which is a long way, especially for my elderly parents who are over 90. However, recently I was booked at my local branch at Balmoral Garden Healthy Living at my request (because my dad has seen a GP there and couldn’t praise them enough). I am so pleased you now have a doctor at our branch who is so kind and attentive. She is a blessing for my elderly parents who cannot travel and love to see her for their ailments. I saw her myself for the first time recently. From the receptionist to the GP, it was a great experience. I feel my issues were resolved very promptly, and I feel better.

I have had a series of issues with the online pharmacy I use resulting in meds not being delivered in time etc meaning I have had to contact the surgery for prescription re-issue or emergency supply. Every time I called I was met with such a friendly and helpful response. thank you!

Review titled Great nurse
Rated 4 stars out of 5

The nurse I saw for my diabetes review was very thorough. She made me at ease , answered all my questions, took the time to check my records. The second time I saw her for a vaccine, having recognised me she inquired about one of my medical problems and again took the time to advise and reassure me. A very pleasant and caring nurse.

Very impressive, clinician was very competent and explained things in detail. Felt as though I was treated as a person not just another number.

Review titled A much improved practice
Rated 4 stars out of 5

The doctor reacted very quickly after a blood test found my kidney function was down and sent straight to A&E . I had no symptoms and if it wasn’t for my regular blood test requested by the surgery it could have been a lot worse

Review titled No Help Whatsoever
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Peter - Posted on 20 June 2024
Called for an appointment - explained it was urgent. Was told appointments were closed and to fill in an online form or contact 111. I registered to fill in the online form and then got a message that they had reached capacity and could not accept any more online requests. I then filled in the 111 online form which resulted in being told to contact my GP surgery. I'm now completely lost as to what to do. My symptoms will not improve without help and I cannot get help or advice.

Dear Peter, We are sorry to hear your of your recent experience. When we reach capacity we need to close Anima so we can safely manage the requests that have already come in. If Anima is closed and you need to call the practice we can complete an Anima on your behalf or we can signpost you to the most appropriate service if we have reached clinical capacity. Please do contact us either by phone or in writing if you wish to discuss this further. Many thanks, Reach Healthcare
