Receptionist - friendly, efficient Doctor - thorough consultation. Very helpful. Was willing to talk through treatment options. No feeling of pressure or being buried.

My first visit here and I was very surprised, this surgery is how doctors used to be. The set up is friendly and helpful. The young receptionist was brilliant and very helpful credit to her please.

Have been waiting 6 weeks for HRT prescription. Told only last week in short supply. GP appointment was made for me (to discuss alternatives apparently ) without informing me what appointment was for or why it had been made; I nearly cancelled thinking it was an error. Told both pharmacy and GP that I didn’t want synthetic hormones, but was told nationwide there was none to be had ( utrogestan). Reluctantly took a prescription for provera, which their pharmacy had no stock of, so took to Morrisons to be told they had plenty of utrogestan. At no point did anyone suggest going to a different pharmacy! Implication from GP was months of shortage with no alternative!! So fed up with this surgery and it’s rubbish care and provision. This is another lie in a long list of poor provision, and every time I go into surgery I hear other patients complaining of poor care or unable to access care or medication in a timely fashion.

I had a very good experience with the lady Doctor. She was kind and listened to what was bothering me with my health . She explained in layman terms about my condition and showed me pictorial examples from the Internet. I left feeling very positive

From receptionists to nurses and the doctor, this practice makes you feel at ease. The doctor was caring, explaining what he thought was the best course of action. Felt fully supported.

The staff are always pleasant and try their best to be helpful but I'm afraid that there are still some issues regarding being able to book a urgent appointment so in the end I had to pay to have a video call with a private gp who then advised me to get a face to face with my GP asap . I then explained this on the patford house site and got an appointment in 10 days. I just feel that the system is still not as it should be. If you go into the surgery at Sutton benger the staff are very helpful and try their best but if you phone the calne number you are unable to make an appointment as they can't see the booking system. The GP told me that the new system of patches in now up and running as I know that doctor link was stopped awhile ago so I hope this works better. I think that it's such ashame that everything has become much less patient focussed over the last few years. I feel that the Sutton benger surgery, in particular is working as a part-time practice as there are very few patients in the surgery when ever you go in. The pharmacy is also manned for very limited times. I do hope some of these issues are addressed as especially for elderly people and young families having a reliable and accessible doctor's surgery in a rural area is vital .
