I was booked to see an inhouse Physiotherapist but because I was late for just 9 minutes, I was sent away. Had I arrived on time or even before time I would have waited for at least 20mins or more. This does not make sense. Does it? Just to get to see my GP, it took me several months even though I have tried my best many many times in the mornings. A patient like myself with some serious conditions should be prioritised. But I wonder how do they assess. Since my precious GP has left or retired from this practice I have never been seen by anyone in this practice. It is sad and horrible.

Thank you for your comments. May I please address your concerns. Physio appointments do not run late as there is a gap in between for catch up if patients need to redress etc., I am sorry to say arriving 9 minutes late is actually almost the whole appointment time, whereby this delay if you had been accepted by the physio would have had a knock on affect for the rest of the appointments for all patients. Clinicians make the decision not the reception team if a patient is late they inform the clinician of the arrival and are instructed on what the clinician has decided. We have approx a minimum 30 available appointments per morning along with options of pre booking, eConsult, online, priority booking for certain cohorts of patients, 111, pharmacy and we can book out of hours appointment on the day for acute need. I went to see gp about my wrist pain. my experience went ok but I was not that satisfied . was very quick my appointment about five minutes only . I might see another GP that I know her before

The Dr was very thorough with establishing what the cause might be and with advising/recommending self treatment or/and when to seek clinical treatment.

Once I managed to get a same day appointment, I had a telephone appointment with a Dr in the morning, which led to a face to face appointment in the afternoon, and an x-ray the next day. Quick, responsive, kind and smooth. Thank you.

Thank you for your positive comment. I would like to let you know that we do offer pre bookable appointments for non urgent/routine matters for 2 weeks in advance. I appreciate we cannot offer all our appointments like this, but I think it may be an option as opposed to calling every day. I will ensure your comments are passed on to all staff with thanks. Getting too see a doctor was OK this time but it has been difficult in the past. Phoning at 8 in the morning waiting 10 minutes to get through to be told appointments for the day have all gone

Thank you for your email. When calls start at 0800 there will always be a wait time I apologise for this, but it is how patients prefer to liaise. We do have online booking, two week pre book appointments or an e-consult as electronic options. Regards, practice manager

As regards to appointment regarding the BP check or nurse appointment it is a great service. Trying to get a doctors appointment is another matter all together as I feel I’m being fobbed off by either being offered a telephone appointment or the unavailablity of an appointment for weeks. I would really like to know as to how many doctors are on sight at any given day

I arrived a little early for my appointment and was seen straight sway. I was taken seriously by my GP and have been referred for a hospital scan. I was able to make the GP appointment within 2 weeks of telephoning. The telephone call took about 20 mins to get through but was worth it to get a booking.

Dr was amazing but getting an appointment is a nightmare . Even when you get an e consult reply stating you’d be contacted within 48 hrs rarely happens .

I am sorry you have had difficulty obtaining an appointment we do have an average of 30-40 appointments, with other options eConsult (I see this has not been successful for you, but it is an avenue) pre bookable two weeks in advance for non urgent or routine requirements, online booking, 111, pharmacy services, or we can book an out of hours on the day. Despite 2 letters & 2 visits regarding my condition I was forced to go private through lack of communication by this surgery . I was then contacted to have further blood tests as I was told face to face by the receptionist that my last main blood test was corrupted . I then received 4 text reminders for my 12.10pm appointment and at 12.30pm I was asked by the nurse taking the bloods … why are you here ? Waste of everyone’s time

The phlebotomist I saw on the day was caring, professional, experienced, and empathetic. I loved the idea of having the phlebotomist service in the practice.
