Asthma nurse was referring me back to GP as felt that I did not have asthma in her opinion. This was on 23 May ~ not heard anything yet!

The nurse had to find out exactly what blood test the hospital doctor had requested with the minimum help from the hospital.

The Cosham surgery felt very welcoming. I didn’t have to wait long And the Doctor was very thorough in examining me and made me feel confident.

2 weeks after my blood test and handing in home blood pressure values you have sent me this feedback form but I have heard nothing from you concerning the results!

Thank you for your comments. You were asked for blood pressure values and a blood test as part of your annual monitoring. You will only hear back with regards to these if there are any concerns or changes required. In this case, as you have not heard, everything is satisfactory.

I have been registered with Drayton Surgery for some years now and find the service they offer exemplary. All the staff are friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Telephone triage has invariably resulted in a tele-consultation within hours, and where circumstances merited it I have been offered a same day face-to-face appointment. Very well done.

Anytime I ring the surgery I’m told to do an E consult. After then waiting a couple of days for a response I’m then either brushed aside or prescribed medicine when nobody has even seen me. The office staff are short fused and rude and when having a virginal swab I was given a male doctor. The whole experience is uncomfortable enough but to then have a male do it whilst also having another lady in the room to ‘chaperone’ makes it more uncomfortable. I am relatively young yet anytime something is wrong nothing is ever done and I’m never seen. I’ve had an ongoing problem for 6 months now, which is still there because I’m not being seen. For example, my swab came back clear, so evidently it’s not the problem they thought right? So you’d think they’d investigate further. But no. The problem didn’t disappear just because I was swabbed. It’s still there. I honestly cannot stand contacting the surgery because of how little care there is.

Thank you for your comments. I am sorry you are unhappy with the service. I can see from your records that you were seen face to face by Dr Puvanagopan following a telephone consultation with Dr Teoh, who booked you in to the next available slot. Whilst he is a male GP, he is a professional and it was important for you to be seen. When providing any kind of intimate exam he is always extremely conscious that it may be uncomfortable and ensures that there is a chaperone of the same sex as the patient. You could have, at any point you felt uncomfortable, requested a female GP only. Whilst your swab did come back clear, you were provided medications to help clear up your problem. If these haven't worked for any reason, you should contact the surgery again for a follow up. We always see the patients face to face that need it and I'm sorry if you found the staff in any way rude - I will pass your comments onto the relevant department head. Again, I am sorry you are unhappy with the service we provide and hope that future encounters will be better for you.

I haven't tried to get an appointment in very many years and was surprised when my call was picked up at 8oclock and an appointment the same morning, and an appointment made with a physio a few days later.

The professionalism and friendliness of the nurse that took the blood was excellent. However, May I suggest that feedback of the blood test results to me, the patient is far more important than feedback of your performance. The lack of any feedback of the results is extremely poor, maybe even unacceptable, though I still hope to receive feeback of my results soon.

Thank you for your comments. I can see from your records that Dr Drake sent you a message via text when he reviewed your results, explaining that everything is satisfactory and you should continue with your prescribed medication.
