Had an appointment, this was cancelled and rescheduled but I was not notified and missed the appointment! I sent a message asking why it had been rescheduled and 5 days later I still haven’t had a response

I made appoinment to get Bp checked. Got text message confirming appointment . Even checked Airmid an appointment was booked in. Arrived at surgery tried to book myself in on screen but no joy. Went to reception she looked baffled . Said my appointment was by phone with pharmacist . I explained the conversation I had with admin the day prior. Another collègue came and included herself in the conversation. I explained again. She said well you have no face to face appointment yes you may have been sent a text but nothing has been booked … she said just take it using that .. and pointed . I said what she said the bp machine in the corner …. At this point I am feeling a little stressed which is no doubt helping my blood pressure . So this said machine sits in the corner for patient to use. I have no idea how to use it . Who has used it or when it was last cleaned as no cleaning audit available ! No thanks I’ll pass To add insult to injury the admin team have updated my medical records with inaccurately.

More knowledgeable GP's that advise and help instead of saying that they are not sure. More face to face appointments available as you cannot show what you are suffering with over a phone call. Receptionists that are not rude to people and put the phone down.

Poor communication. Getting medication on repeat is a stressful experience every time. There is always a problem, forgotten items, ignoring notes. Every interaction with this practice is stressful. Communication needs improvement, I get texts which I cannot respond to that I have questions about instead of a quick call from the practice which will enable me to get my questions answered. Instead emails and texts come across as patronising.

I recently had to have repeat blood tests. These also came in as abnormal and another appointment has been made. Not really understanding what it all meant, the receptionist made me a telephone appointment with the Advanced Practioner to call me and explain. She did and explained what the problem might be and was able to stop the initial panic I felt and was able to reassure me. I really appreciate the time the surgery gave me
