This is probably one the best GP practice I have known in all my nearly 80 years. The main fault I have experienced is the faulty administration which somehow does not connect all the dots. Double or triple phone calls about the same subject. No follow up of GP conversations without having to make two or three phone calls to the practice. Agreed GP ohone calls to me suddenly turn into physical appointments in the practice. Having said all that all the staff at every level are absolutely fabulous. So in summary great people with loveable quirky inconsistencies. ..... very reassuringly human.

Since joining the practice 6 years ago I have had every aspect of health examined above my expectations. The doctors at the grange are of high standards. And often work Sundays to tell you your results

All members of the practice dealt professionally, with care and common sense. The receptionist listened to my request for a face to face appointment and provided one later that morning. The practitioner I saw listened to my concerns provided an increase in medication but also booked me in for an ECG later that day due to her concerns. The nurse who did the ECG was kind and did not want me to go home without feedback on the test - so asked a doctor to see me. This happened within minutes. The doctor also had concerns and booked for me to go to hospital for further tests. Thank you to all members of the practice for upholding their duty of care.

I complained about my address and she told me I was rude and ended the call on me and she refused to book an appointment for me.

I have been patient here at the grange for many years not so long ago problems trying to contact surgery was very very frustrating i appreciate it is not possible to deal with every call in 3to5mins but respond times have improved tremendously credit to everyone good team work also getting to see doctor again great progress all round

Although it has taken about a month to actually sort my husbands latest problem ,re medication etc.. The initial consultation with the GP was efficient and effective.The receptionist and ANP’s and practice nurses have been excellent. Just frustrating at times.

I rang to see a doctor, explained to advisor my concerns, to which she suggested to try over the counter medication. I'm still trying to work out if that was the right decision

Dear patient Thank you for leaving a review. Our patient care advisors are trained to signpost to front line primary care services to help patients get attention as soon as possible. Sometimes community pharmacy is the most appropriate place to be seen and many now accept GP referrals for same day assessment and treatment and guidance on when you should start to feel better. You can also refer to nhs uk website for advice. Please be assured you can call us back if you’re not getting any better, or if you feel your symptoms are getting worse. Kind regards DS

My recent appointment and treatment was very good and the Doctor’s approach to clearly explaining my problem was very helpful and appreciated. Maybe the practice could make available the hand held ear irrigation service.

We suffered a very unpleasant experience! Despite the Gp authorising a procedure for my unwell daughter the nursing staff refused to. I expect they couldn’t be bothered with the additional workload. An absolute irrational reason was provided. The nurses should be sufficiently qualified to conduct such tests and listen to the doctors. They afterall have an appropriate medical degree. It was unfortunate that the receptionist we’re adamant on repeating what the nurse had said as opposed to using there own judgment and relaying this back to the doctors. Instead they were very unsympathetic. HRI then conducted the procedure beautifully and could not understand what the nurses problem at the Grange was. It also left an upset child. Please improve in this as we are already looking for a better practise.

Often it feels like you’re fighting for an appointment in the next week. I understand it’s a busy doctors, but often when you’ve got a condition you need seeing to, it doesn’t help to offer an appointment in a week or two time. The doctor I had myself was so helpful and caring, and said any issues I’m having I can come straight back but it’s so difficult to come straight back unless you get someone on reception who understands and is willing to help you.
