I had a telephone consultation on 22nd. It is now 27th. Still waiting for a reply as to whether I will be prescribed any treatment. Generally, if you are asking patients to fill in pages of information about the condition etc when submitting a request for an appointment the doctor should read this information before the consultation to avoid repetition.

Had an appointment with the Doctor yesterday. I was in early as needed to get to work, and was seen earlier than the appointment time. Had 2-3 issues i wanted to discuss with the Doctor and was examined as well. Further checks to be done. Really good and helpful advice i was given by the doctor…. 5 stars 🌟 on this occasion.

  5. Review titled Structured Medication Review

Rated 4 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 06 March 2024

This phone appointment was on behalf of my elderly father and although the member of staff went through the motions of asking the required questions, she didn’t address my concerns about several of my father’s medications not being added to his dossette box, despite several phone calls to both the surgery and the chemist over several month. I was told I had to contact the chemist myself as the surgery had put the request in and they couldn’t do any more. The care of my father at this surgery has always been excellent and thorough and staff members are always helpful to me now that my sister and I are caring for my father but on this occasion I was disappointed that my concerns about getting the right medication into his dossette boxes were dismissed and the I’m afraid the appointment felt very much like a tick box exercise.

  6. Review titled MMR Vaccine

Rated 3 stars out of 5

I was texted this message 8/3/2024. On your medical record, we can find incomplete evidence of you having the MMR vaccine. We would like to invite you to have a MMR vaccine due to the recent outbreak of measles in the UK. Please contact the surgery to book an appointment. 8/3/2024 I was given 18/3/2024. I went to my appointment and was eventually called 25 minutes after my appointment time and asked if I really wanted to have MMR jab and if I did think I had it as a child I didn’t need to have but if I wanted to have it another date to phone them and book in again for the appointment again. I don’t why after calling me to book in 10 days before that then on the day be eventually called in 25 minutes after my appointment time, to then tell me different excuses why I didn’t need to have MMR jab, but they still could not find proof on my medical record that I had had the MMR as a child. Waste of my time and waste of an appointment. They couldn’t be bothered

  7. Review titled Excellent care

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by DMW - Posted on 15 March 2024

Late morning appointment meant schedule was running a little late. The clear reason for this is the excellent care taken during the appointment - the priority is the patient, not clock-watching. Really don’t mind waiting a while so everyone gets the level of care I have been very lucky to experience. As some previous tests had got lost in the system (not reached me or the practice), they sorted it out simply and with no fuss. Despite the ‘system’, really impressed and proud of the experience I had from the local practice team.

  8. Review titled A positive and effective experience

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Camlet - Posted on 07 March 2024

Seen within 5 days of reporting non urgent though slightly concerning symptoms . Saw very good Trainee GP who asked good probing questions and also explained follow up process well. She phoned with proposed next steps just a few hours later, within promised timescales.

  10. Review titled Faulty system of selecting doctors.

Rated 3 stars out of 5

by Rosemary - Posted on 20 March 2024

I went to the doctor to get help. First of all, I filled in all my symptoms and details on the e-consultation chart. Then I was sent to a doctor who although very sweet and manerly did not have a clue of how to help me and who was more interested in my past endocrinological appointment that had been resolved ,than in my present issue. So, I came home without help and frustrated for I wasted my time with the lengthy e-consultation assesment form, and to go to a "doctor" with absolutely no help for my issue. Junior doctors do need to be trained but they need a senior doctor there to guide so that the patient gets treated. As for me...I guess I will have to try to make another appointment and ask for a senior doctor.
