I attended a routine appointment at hospital where an extremely high blood pressure reading was obtained by nursing staff. My consultant advised me to contact my GP at the Wall House Surgery without delay. I telephoned the surgery and was triaged and was given an urgent appointment with my GP the next morning. I have seen him 3 times this week for urgent interventions and a probable urgent referral to a Specialist Consultant. I could not hope for better care.

The nursing care I have received over the last month for my post surgery wound care has been outstanding. Needing regular dressing changes throughout the week I’ve been so lucky during such busy schedules the nurses have to have a continuity of care and wound is healing really well. But more importantly even, is the kindness and care with which I’ve been treated, always effervescing with joy and positivity my nurse has not just helped heal a wound but made me feel brighter and encouraged in the time she has taken in chatting with me whilst attending to the wound care. In our busy world holistic care like this heals more than just surgical wounds. Super grateful, thank you.

I had an annoying dark patch on the side of my face. When it got larger and changed texture, I went to the Wallhouse to get it checked. It was immediately identified as a harmless seborrheic kinosis (senile wart!) and I was offered an appointment the following week to have it removed. It was a painless procedure and, after a couple of days, it had completely healed. Now, a few weeks later, there’s no sign it was ever there. The attention I received was friendly, relaxed and highly professional. My thanks to all concerned.

I have had a couple of instances of ill health in the last six months. On both occasions the Wallhouse triage system worked extremely well and I was able to either see or speak to a doctor within a few hours. They were caring, thorough and understanding in their approach. An all round excellent experience.

This practice wants to do the right things for its patients. The GP gave me an extended slot as I was upset about retelling my medical history. She was very patient and kind. Another time I have misplaced my son’s medication at this school and when I walked in on a Saturday the staff went out of their way to get me a replacement prescription. Patient care is at the heart of this practice.

I needed to alter a blood’s appointment at short notice so went to the surgery to discuss. The receptionist checked if the phlebotomist could see me there and then but this wasn’t possible. She then promptly gave me the necessary paperwork to take to local hospital where I was seen after a short wait. I was back home a little over one hour from start to finish. Well done Wallhouse.

The system of calling to be triaged worked very well. The staff member I spoke to was professional, compassionate and listened and repeated what I said to ensure clarity. I was clear on what the next steps were and I was called back the next morning to arrange an appointment. During the appointment I was reassured that I have made the right choice to ask for an appointment (I was concerned that the surgery was very busy with people worse off than myself). I was very happy with the treatment I received for myself and my daughter. We were able to get medication straight after the appointment. All in all the service was efficient, professional and my concerns were taken seriously and we were treated very well indeed. The service was an excellent experience and much easier than making an appointment in the past. The triage system works very well.

I regularly have to have contact with the surgery. I have experienced without exception, a good standard of care from all of the staff. My recent visit for a Rheumatology review with a GP ,who I did not know , was excellent. The doctor was kind, caring and knowledgeable. Unfortunately he was not running to time, yet he did not rush the consultation . He treated me holistically and was empathetic towards me. I appreciate that the staff are under enormous pressure and would like to thank them all for their patience and consideration.
