Review titled Hanging On The Telephone (For 32 Minutes)
Rated 3 stars out of 5
by Stephen Gribbin - Posted on 03 April 2024
Tried ringing up at 8am, went straight through to Hold, tried again, same thing. Pre-recorded voice said "Press 0 for Ringback and follow the instructions" Pressed it. Nothing. Held for 32 minutes and then just gave up. Went in to surgery in person to ask about booking an advance appointment , only to be told to ring up on Monday "At 8am". What, the same time I was left hanging in limbo Hell for 32 minutes?? And please, Triangle Surgery, update your prerecorded voice info. "Did you know that you can now book appointments online?" No, you can't. I have The Patient Access App and for the past two years it has said "This Surgery is Unable to Provide Appointments Online" Just tell us the truth. I realise it's not your fault that the NHS is crumbling into dust, but just be honest. And if your telephone appointments system is not working (it clearly isn't), why can't you reinstate the online booking system that you had running very well in 2019/20/21?

Dear Mr Gribbin. Thank you for your feedback, it is important that we hear from patients when things have gone wrong as this can help us learn and make improvements. We have recently had a change to our telephone system and we acknowledge that there have been some teething troubles which we are working with our service provider to rectify. When you pressed "0" for ring back it should have directed you to hang up and the practice would ring you back. With regards to booking appointments online, I can confirm that there are appointments available to book online but once they have been taken you will receive the message you stated which is not helpful I agree, but its the App's standard response. We are working to a triage service so that when all the appointments have gone, you can fill in a form and a clinician will review your symptoms and book an appropriate appointment for you. Review titled Do not use this practise
Rated 1 star out of 5

I have had nothing but issues with Triangle Group Practice. The surgery does not have in-house blood tests and the nearest place to get them done once ordered by the surgery is an hour on the bus - Dulwich Hospital. This is extremely time consuming and inconvenient. The online appointment booking system does not work, for even something simple like speaking to a Doctor to get them to order routine blood tests you have to call at 8am and wait with everyone else wanting urgent/same day appointments. I was diagnosed with diabetes and have received no care for my condition since my initial appointment with a nurse, including no blood tests to check my medication is working and my blood sugar levels are under control for an entire year!

Dear Patient. Thank you for your feedback however it is not true that the nearest place to get a blood test is in Dulwich. The nearest place is at Rushey Green which is less than a mile away. As you have decided to post anonymously I am unable to review your Diabetes and would urge you to make an appointment with our Nurse for a Diabetes review. John Smith Practice Manager

Review titled An example of a great GP Practice
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by R.Davidson - Posted on 05 March 2024
I had a lovely experience at this surgery! The nurse practitioner was like a GP and made every effort to help me feel comfortable, kindly explaining every step of the consult and answered all my questions. I was then referred to the pharmacist who expertly answered all of my questions and any fears quickly quelled. He even offered to book follow up appointments, to keep an eye on my health - unlike my old GP surgery who brushed me off. Excellent team of practitioners at the Triangle GP. Would recommend to all.

Unprofessional receptionists, unanswered calls, inefficient doctors, used to be a great practice now a total shambles, supposed to get 10 minute appointments now lucky to get 5, queued outside to get appointment was told dr would ring me at home within 20 minutes that was 2 hours ago rung reception to say not received call was told to wait and was hung up on, referral was sent to wrong hospital, then re-done and sent to another wrong hospital then re-done and filled in incorrectly now awaiting 4th attempt while still in pain, feeling absolutely distressed.

Review titled Who knew GP's had such knowledgable Pharmacists!! Excellent
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Sally - Posted on 02 December 2023
The pharmacist was extremely friendly and professional. He listened to me and put me at ease throughout my appointment addressing my matters. I would highly recommend him to any family member or friend. The surgery as a whole is very welcoming, efficient and friendly. Couldn't ask for a better experience with a clinician. Excellent GP Surgery in Lewisham.

Review titled Wonderful service
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Marie Brown - Posted on 03 November 2023
Since joining the practice I have been looked after very well, even more so since being discharged from hospital in August following a serious condition. The receptionists have gone out of their way to help and have even contacted the hospital and eye clinic to sort out an issue I had. I can't fault the doctors who are very understanding and reassuring. I have been very happy since moving to this practice as my previous experiences were not of the same standard. Thank you to everybody.

Review titled Poor standards
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Mr Bowers - Posted on 25 April 2023
I contacted the practice as they had sent through a choose and book referral that only gave me the option of a single clinic that when you selected this clinic it advised there were no appointments and to contact your referrer. I was told by the receptionist that despite the advice on choose and book this was the hospitals issue to resolve and to contact them. When you haven’t been seen by them you’re not a patient of their clinic and so they cannot assist it’s the referrers issue to find a clinic with appointments not the hospitals issue. This means I have been left without a specialist despite having been without a specialist for 4 years because of an error. Overall poor practice standards in my opinion.

Dear Mr Bowers. Thank you for your feedback. When a patient is referred to a Hospital for a clinic, sometimes there are no clinics/appointments available but the Hospital is duty bound to arrange an appointment directly with the Patient. I am not sure why this did not happen but the Receptionist was correct in stating that once a referral to a Hospital had been made then it is down to the Hospital to take ownership of the referral. I hope this explains the position. Mr J Smith Practice Manager

Review titled useless

I called the surgery in March this year for an appointment to be told I could have a face to face, I went to the surgery to find I was seeing the practice nurse who couldn't even pronounce my name properly and was extremely rude when I tried to give her some history of why I was there, on leaving I asked the receptionist if I could make an appointment to see a Doctor, she told me you have just seen someone, I said okay and went to leave and she shouted let me check your notes so I walked back and I couldn't believe what she said to me, "You need to change your lifestyle" this from the receptionist, I have lost all faith in this Doctors, recently I was told when I tried to get a prescription that all the Doctors were out on emergency calls another time that there is no Doctors in after 12 noon, I could go on and on but nothing will improve.

Dear Mr Smith. Thank you for your feedback. I am a little confused and concerned by what you have printed as it is not difficult on pronouncing your name and surprised that the Nurse was extremely rude. The Nurse in question is currently on annual leave and upon her return I will speak with her to establish what the problem was and how she dealt with the consultation. At no point are all the Doctors out on emergency calls and I can assure you that there is always a Doctor available after 12 noon on every day the Surgery is open. Your statement here is totally untrue. I would welcome the opportunity to discuss your issues with me directly by telephoning 020 8318 7272. John Smith Practice Manager

Review titled The worst of the worst
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Melissa - Posted on 22 March 2023
Why are the receptionist telling patients to call at 8am and we never can get through. This has been an ongoing thing since last year. In my opinion is the worst practice I've ever been to. Few of the receptionist are so rude. They need training on how to deal with patients. My family will be moving surgery soon because its pointless. We could be dying and can't get through on the phones. I'd also like to mentioned that I've gone to the surgery after 8am and so many workers standing around in the surgery doing nothing, while they put the phones on busy

Review titled Cannot park
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Can’t park - Posted on 17 February 2023
Despite this webpage completed from the information provided by the GP’s there is no parking unless your staff. Disabled parking is on the street if you can find anywhere which with a Travelodge very close by is unlikely and non disabled parking is at a pay and display meter or in a cad park again affected by above. The practice don’t seem bothered about providing incorrect information as long as it gets them patients

Dear Patient, thank you for your feedback. I assume you are referring to the information on the NHS site rather than our website www.trianglegrouppractice.co.uk I agree that the NHS site is misleading as it refers to a car park and disabled parking but fails to point out that this is not on site, but available opposite. I am unable to change this information from the Practice as it is centrally loaded by the NHS. The Public Car Park opposite always has available spaces, even with Travelodge being located opposite. Disabled patients can use their Blue Badge and park right outside the Surgery on the yellow lines and have had no difficulty in doing so in the past. If you go to our Home Website (www.trianglegrouppractice.co.uk) you will clearly see that we state that there is a public pay and display Car Park opposite the Surgery. I will try and investigate how we can amend the NHS site as it is clearly wrong and I would like to thank you for bringing this to my attention. Mr John Smith Practice Manager
