I was able to have a telephone consultation and can pop into the surgery to leave a blood pressure reading as they have a machine in the waiting room

Calling the surgery at 8am on a Monday, I expected to wait a long time and potentially not get an appointment. Within 5 minutes my call was answered by an extremely pleasant, empathic and helpful receptionist. I had an appointment for my son within the hour, where he received an extremely thorough assessment, I was clearly informed of the nurse practitioners decision and reasoning for treatment, and most of all my son felt comfortable and reassured throughout. Thank you Calverley surgery!

Staff are always pleasant and helpful, always show you respect and are always kind. They listen if you need to speck to them and always resolve any problems if they need to.

Always helpful and relatively easy to get an appointment if you can call at 8 am. Staff take their time and answer questions in full.

I was able to book an appointment in advance for a medical review. It was a phone appointment. The nurse on the phone was lovely and really informative, and professional. She went through everything and put my prescription thought straight away.

Having been in extreme pain for 3 months my condition was diagnosed and managed with patience and understanding so that I could move freely within 24 hours of diagnosis. There is a long road to go but hopefully it will be pain free.

Waiting in a queue on the phone, apparently number 5 in the queue. After 5 minutes of holding, I was next in line....15 minutes later I started walking to the doctors while on hold. Got to the surgery (nobody in the waiting room as usual)...still on hold, spoke to the receptionist who told me there were no appointments! I questioned why no one was answering my call (at least tell me there were no appointments) and when she inquired to the back room where the calls are apparently taken, the woman was in the office, but not taking calls!? I questioned why, even though I was 'caller number 5' in the non existent 'queue' there were no appointments and asked how many appointments are available in the afternoon - no response, can't answer that either....5 x 5 minute appointments equates to 25 minutes, (bearing in mind the overstatement as technically there would only be 4 available given that my call wasn't answered and that's assuming these callers got appointments and didn't just hang up after waiting too long), what is the one and only doctor at the surgery doing for the rest of the afternoon? Nhs at it's best...if this place can only muster 1 GP who is always too busy to see patients what is the point in funding this surgery?
