I had my smear and the nurse explained the process even explaining what hpv is and the process, I don't think in 13yrs I've ever had that explained before. The nurse asked about domestic abuse first time that had happened which I already aware of as an ex domestic abuse advocate I was happy the nurse followed protocol. The quickest smear I had. I was anxious and the nurse told me to take my time didn't rush me and made me feel comfortable and heard throughout. I told her about a worry I had with work as the anxiety caused me to cry before the smear and she was very caring but also stayed on time without me feeling rushed.

Cervical Screening campaign encourages those eligible for a cervical screening (women and people with a cervix aged 25 to 64) to respond to their invitation letter and book an appointment with a GP practice if they missed their last screening. The NHS has issued a call for anyone eligible for cervical screening to come forward for a potentially life-saving appointment, with nearly a third, around 4.6 million, not taking up their latest test. After a couple of years bouncing around a few doctors surgeries that have been nothing but nightmares, my experience with West Lodge has been nothing short of positive. My recent blood examination with the nurse was thorough and efficient, I could not recommend her higher

Had an NHS check-up that was delivered excellently where the student nurses fully & clearly explained what the examination involved and why. Each test was carried out very smoothly and they told me the results as these became available. Blood samples were taken very easily and it was great that these were pain-free and there has been no bruising as a result of these. I found the final-year student nurses to be confident & very capable and from their diligence they did identify an usual reading on one of the tests so referred this to a senior colleague following which further tests have were carried out during the same appointment and a treatment plan is now being made. A thorough check-in delivery very well & professionally.

I have recently registered with this practice, I had some blood tests and an ECG today the clinical team member was very friendly and kind. I felt at ease and was supported when I became faint. As a young woman I have felt respected, listened to and taken seriously. Definitely the best GP surgery I have been registered with. Thank you!

The nurses I saw were extremely friendly and helpful. Informative. The surgery is welcoming. Offered me some good advice and sent me some useful information to help with my loneliness problem, they made me feel comfortable and explained what they were doing.

I had an over 50’s health check today. I was greeted in a professional manner and walked through the whole process in a friendly and caring way. Everything was explained to me throughout. Great service the thanks for your kindness
