Gynaecology A1-clinic 6. The staff were wonderful and made me feel at ease. It was a very difficult situation which they handled with care and kindness.

Review titled Good care

Mum was admitted into A&E & a bed was found 7 hours later in the early morning. There was a thorough handover to AAU & they treated her well. She saw the relevant members of the care team & had appropriate diagnostic tests done to treat her problem. She was treated very well too on ward 14 who were very kind & went out of their way to settle & help their patients too. Thank you

Despite being short of staff and beds, I was treated very well in both casualty and ward 9 following my emergency admission due to a fall.

Review titled I wouldn't hesitate to return to this clinic
by KE43 - Posted on 20 July 2023
I was referred for an outpatient hysteroscopy following months of heavy prolonged periods. The three ladies I saw were the kindest NHS staff I have ever met. They took the time to listen, converse, explain and answer my questions. I didn't feel rushed or anxious in any way. 'Informed consent' isn't always so well informed (at other hospitals) here however we covered everything in as much detail as I wanted with no issue. The procedure itself was without anaesthetic (although I was told about available options) I honestly didn't feel anything much, not even when the biopsies were taken. The nurse was very gentle and unrushed. I was able to watch the procedure on the screen and talk to the hysterscopy nurse about what I was seeing as we went along (although I wasnt sure what it was supposed to look like I had much faith that the team did.) I have recently been through a traumatic time with the loss of my eldest son, and I'm still emotionally all over the place so being asked about prior pregnancies births etc is very sensitive subject. I have immense gratitude to the hysteroscopy nurses who handled my tears with compassion, and supported me throughout. I am relieved the procedure has been done without any issues and although nobody in their right mind should ever want to undergo an intimate invasive procedure like this if I needed another one I wouldn't hesitate to return to Airedale Hysteroscopy clinic.

An emergency admission to the stroke unit at the Bradford Royal Infirmary early this week brought me straight into the care system. I have nothing to say other than lavish praise to the marvellous nurses and many other staff who have looked after me attentively and with unfailing kindness. Don't believe what you are hearing in the media about the NHS being ' broken' '

by Beverley & Simon Bury - Posted on 10 June 2023
Following a cycling accident, I was advised by 111 to take my husband to Airedale to be checked out due to a possible head injury. All staff were friendly, professional and efficient. He was thoroughly checked and thankfully all okay. Fantastic level of care received. Thank you to all involved.

Review titled Ambulance & A& E
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by David Tobitt - Posted on 03 May 2023
Following on from my wonderful Recent surgical experience I suffered an excruciatingly painful episode a few days after returning home. Sadly the out of hours 111 service was an unmitigated disaster totally unfit for purpose & business & after 8 hrs misery & no Dr call my daughter was forced to call a ambulance to get me to hospital quickly. An ambulance arrived within 30 mins & had me in A & E 45 mins later. Within 20 mins a Doctor saw me diagnosed the problem & assuaged the true agony arr anged New dressings & sent me home exhausted but pain free. At this time 10hrs late a completely uninterested on call doctor called to see “how she could help”- she couldn’t & didn’t This my friends is why hospitals are under such awful pressures. Once again Well Done Airedale Hospital

Review titled Life Savers
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by David Tobitt - Posted on 27 April 2023
At home recuperating from major surgery I can only report as I both saw and personally experienced about the Airedale Hospital. I can honestly say after 10 gruelling months of diagnosis scans tests radiotherapy chemotherapy and finally surgery that Without Exception I’ve received only excellent timely and kind care. Throughout the turmoil of the past months this fantastic hospital has remained strike free and continued to provide treatment & care in spite of a terrible work load. My lifesaving surgery was delivered by dedicated caring professionals & post op’ treatment on Ward 2 was always kind thoughtful & timely. All the staff throughout my entire 10 months have worked to bring me back to full health and they will all have a place my heart for years to come. So thank you one & all. Sadly there is one negative part to my review - I always believed good food/diet was integral to helping recovery so I found it beyond belief that the Airedale patients food was so appallingly bad. Choice content presentation & taste was all plainly awful and the caterers should be fired. The grey suits responsible for this vile offering should be severely sanctioned because they are doing their patients a truly great disservice. The patient facing catering staff put on a brave face but nothing can deflect from the sheer awfulness of the catering quality & the complicity of those responsible for serving up this muck.
