Review titled The worst maternity
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anamaria Urs - Posted on 20 February 2024
I have been booked for a C section in the morning at 7am then I been called to come at 10am, we came 10am. However, it is 5 pm and not even now I haven’t been told anything. On top of this I haven’t been eating since yesterday evening as I been told and I didn’t even take my Lupus tablets. No one knows anything, I am asking if I should be rescheduled and nobody says anything. The worst! The Worst!

Review titled Fantastic care
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Donna - Posted on 11 February 2024
My Dad was unwell and 111 was telephoned who suggested taking him to hospital. He had been to see his GP the week before. He was assessed quickly, bloods done and seen by a doctor twice. The service was impressive and all staff were lovely. His diagnosis was made after his blood test came back and even though no scans were taken the doctor diagnosed him. We were very impressed as he discovered something that his GP had missed. A massive thank you to all the AE staff working at Basildon Hospital between 15.10pm and 19.45pm on 11-2-24.

Review titled Kind staff at blood test clinic
Rated 4 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 20 February 2024
Kind staff at blood test clinic fitted my dad in with just an hour's wait, after I made a mistake and booked the wrong week. He needed the test done on that day for a heart clinic appointment the next week. Really appreciate them doing this even though they were busy.

Review titled Shear incompetence
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 31 January 2024
My partner who is suffering from cancer was admitted 4 days ago, for other problems, today they decided to move him from one ward to another. He was specifically advised that there was a bed available on the second ward. This was a total lie. Apparently the Site team chose to move him to a corridor. We have been advised by the first ward that this is the second complaint today towards the Site team. I do not understand why this incompetence is allowed to continue and why they are still employed. This is damaging both my partner’s and my mental health.

Review titled Amazing care, compassionate staff and overall outstanding
Rated 5 stars out of 5

I was admitted on Christmas Eve for severe sickness and nausea, malnourishment and dehydration. The staff here were so understanding and compassionate even with it being over Christmas they still strived and did their best, I cannot fault them at all and this has probably been one of the my most understanding and safe hospital experiences.

My husband had a heart attack on 21st. Cardiology Department was excellent. Can not fault it. Within arriving at the hospital he had a stent put in in about half hour, he did not wait at all. Thank you so so much.

Review titled Unfriendly staff when you need support
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Marian - Posted on 17 November 2023
I had an appointment for blood test today 17/11/23 early appointment. The staff at the desk was extremely rude. It's shocking to see people like her working in a public service where is about saving lives. I am disgusted on how she talks and deal with people. I need to wait for weeks to re book my appointment with a different clinic as she made the worst experience ever. I am so sorry that I don't have her name to share it but if someone is interested improve (probably not) public health experience is easy to do that.
