  1. Review titled A&E Doctor Brilliant

Rated 4 stars out of 5

by Lisa Deal - Posted on 18 May 2024

I have just been to A & E with my son after he fell over and can not fault the service. We were seen by the A & E Doctor and she was brilliant, she was so thorough had a very caring manner and had results of the x-ray within 10 minutes. Best Doctor I have seen for a long time. Thank you

  3. Review titled Grateful

Rated 4 stars out of 5

by Susan - Posted on 13 April 2024

We would just like to thank all the Doctors,Nurses and staff at Basildon Hospital. We have had to visit various Departments over the last 10 days. Accident and Emergency, Endoscopy, CT Scan, AMU East and Surgical Referral Unit. All the staff have been very kind, respectful and thorough when treating my elderly Father. Although we had a very long wait of over 8 hours in A and E we are still continually grateful for our NHS Service. Hopefully it will continue to be there for many years to come.

  4. Review titled Thank you amazing service and fast turnaround

Rated 5 stars out of 5

Just wanted to say thank you to the A&E department this morning. We went to A&E as I hurt my finger playing Netball yesterday. I decided to go early the next day I thought the wait time would be better. And I was correct we went around 830 on Sunday morning and we are back home within an hour and a half. Checked in in triage was super quick I was treated by a lovely man in A&E two x-rays and a dislocated finger later. Thank you,

  5. Review titled Health threatening

Rated 1 star out of 5

I am prescribed medication to treat thyroid disease every 3 months by the Endocrine department. Despite contacting the department a week before my prescription ran out, it is now 6 days since my medication ran out. I have emailed the department multiple times (they never answer the phone or it's not working) and have asked PALS to intercede (they haven't). I'm writing this review shaking and with heart palpitations. I wonder how ill I need to become before the Endocrine department actually provide my prescription

Came to a&e on Monday 11th march extremely busy there but knew I had to stick it out. 26 hrs later I was admitted to ward but during those hrs CT scan ecg bloods taken. Yes it was difficult spending overnight in the dept but at all times staff were kind courteous during very stressful times with the sheer volume of patients they coped wonderfully. I wanted to say a huge thank you to them all I have just come home after lots more tests including an MRI scan and are thankful I got a bed when there were a lot of sick people thank you so much

  8. Review titled Great from start to finish

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Sharon - Posted on 11 March 2024

From being brought in ambulance to going on ward everyone was kind and reassuring. Spent 2 weeks on Linford ward all staff were amazing. I was in a compete mess with emotions and pain they all went over and above to comfort and reassure me. Was very emotional being discharged as my safety net was going. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart.

  9. Review titled The worst maternity

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anamaria Urs - Posted on 20 February 2024

I have been booked for a C section in the morning at 7am then I been called to come at 10am, we came 10am. However, it is 5 pm and not even now I haven’t been told anything. On top of this I haven’t been eating since yesterday evening as I been told and I didn’t even take my Lupus tablets. No one knows anything, I am asking if I should be rescheduled and nobody says anything. The worst! The Worst!

  10. Review titled Fantastic care

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Donna - Posted on 11 February 2024

My Dad was unwell and 111 was telephoned who suggested taking him to hospital. He had been to see his GP the week before. He was assessed quickly, bloods done and seen by a doctor twice. The service was impressive and all staff were lovely. His diagnosis was made after his blood test came back and even though no scans were taken the doctor diagnosed him. We were very impressed as he discovered something that his GP had missed. A massive thank you to all the AE staff working at Basildon Hospital between 15.10pm and 19.45pm on 11-2-24.
