Review titled Long delay
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 19 October 2023
Poor management, unnecessary long delay Queue for a ticket then queue to register then queue to see a nurse then over 5 hours to see the minor departure clinician then queue for x Ray then Waite hours for results. It was a simple fall and obvious brusis and need x Ray to decide if a fracture or not . This could saved so much time if the triage nurse organized the X-ray . Clinicians works so so so slowly, they look fed up . They need better management and insensitive to work properly.

Review titled No communication
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 05 September 2023
Arrived at 12:00 with suspected Melena, was triaged quick, was seen by a doctor after an hour, great, this is where it goes downhill. I was then sent to the main waiting room with being told “you might need a camera to check”. I finally checked at reception at 20:00 after waiting 6 hours. Couldn’t give me any information just that I needed to continue waiting. After another 2 hours at 2200 I asked again and was told I was waiting for a bed, but no reason why, no reason for tests, just that I’m waiting for a bed. After 30 more minutes for a total of over 10 hours of waiting with no food or drink, I self discharged, with a potential internal bleed. Honestly a shocking experience with no communication, no quiet waiting area with comfortable chairs.

Review titled Incredible team
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 14 September 2023
I brought my 2 year old daughter to a&e yesterday as I was concerned she wasn't deteriorating at home. From the minute she was triagged the nurse triggered her for sepsis and informed the doctors as she was worried. We saw a few doctors who were patient and took a detailed history and I didn't feel rushed and they listened to me with care. The nursing team and doctors worked so well together and made sure my daughter was treated appropriately. I was offered drinks and given regular updates and asked if I was OK which meant so much when I was on my own and worried. Once transferred to the ward the amazing care continued day and night once again by the whole team. I could not fault a thing and have even seen some improvement today with my daughter. Thank you all so much for everything you have done for us.

Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Katie Francis - Posted on 13 September 2023
My two year old had split his chin open so we took him to Basildon. From the reception staff to the care providers, the service was excellent. Very friendly and made us all feel at ease. They treated my son wonderfully and were very kind throughout.

Review titled Helpful staffs
Rated 4 stars out of 5

I was admitted for a week during my delivery. All the midwives and HCA were very kind and helpful. The night shift midwives helped me a lot when I was in pain and unable to do anything. Thank you word is not enough for the service they provide. Also I am grateful to the labour department team for helping all day and night.

Review titled Great, caring service
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Pam Mahoney - Posted on 10 September 2023
was seen by a lovely doctor, who was extremely professional, explained as they went along, and took the time to put me at ease. I had tests, examination and pain relief whilst waiting. After considering all the test results and discussion with the surgical team, I was provided with treatment and allowed to go home, with advice not to hesitate to go back if I felt worse. I am happily slowly recovering at home. I am so very grateful for the care I received throughout my visit. Thanks to that special Doctor and all the team involved in my care.

Review titled Unsuitable practice
Rated 1 star out of 5
by EoMircea - Posted on 21 August 2023
Went their with a head injury from a rusted nail that after 111 call should have been reviewed in 1 hour....waited there for 2 hours. asked how long could that take anymore as i have to be at 8:00 in the morning in London for my job(that was happening at (23:30) and been told that is at least one more person in front of me. Btw was the first time to need the a&e or any medical services after 8 years paying my insurance taxes...Considering this I`ve got to the conclusion what the f is the point in paying their f taxes if it will not be ever paid back to us?

Review titled Fantastic service under enormous pressure
Rated 4 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 23 August 2023
We wanted to thank the doctors and staff that dealt with my father yesterday. The ambulance staff were tremendously reassuring and the Dr's who dealt with him were, particularly giving the obvious pressure they were under, professional courteous and attentive. Thank you
