  1. Review titled Fantastic service - again!

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Mike Swinden - Posted on 12 December 2022

Hats off once again to all the staff at the Bri who've been so kind and helpful since I got a detached retina a couple of weeks ago - from the first lady there I got on the phone, the registrar who diagnosed me the day after and then everyone at the Ent/Eye dcu and theatre involved in my operation the following day. Incredibly, this is the 3rd detachment the Bri have fixed for me since 2005, I really can't thank them enough!

I arrived on Ward 20 this morning for day surgery. From the moment arriving to leaving the staff were so caring, kind and polite. The ward was extremely clean. I was constantly kept informed throughout the day in the lead up to surgery and afterwards. Thank you so much to the staff there on the ward and in theatre!

  3. Review titled unprofessional

I have just walked out of BRI reception because I have just been treated like rubbish.I have previously had a stroke and my speech isn’t always good I asked a lady on reception about an issue that had occurred the lady on reception was very rude. A doctor came and I told him the problem again I asked who was in charged of reception to be told them I asked again to be told again off hand I think they knew what I was saying but no one would take responsibility there is a sign in the hospital to say that all staff should be respected well if the experience I had tonight goes by and how they talk to the public it’s a shame they cannot take time to understand someone who has a speak problem, who also wants respect.this is the worst A&E experience every had. I will say now the 2 members of staff 1 in triage and the 1st receptionist seen I respect you and thank you as of the other 2, I will not bother just to say if I had spoken to you like you spoke to me something would have been said personally I think you should be trained in understanding and politeness.

Just wanted to say a big thank you to all the staff who looked after me at ENT level 1. The Dr & nursing staff were all really friendly & helpful & got me seen to in good time. The waiting room was comfortable & after a couple of hours my procedure was done. Thanks for all your hard work.

  5. Review titled Great service

I had vascular surgery and the staff were all amazing the only thing that could improve this would be to be given an after care information sheet as all I was given was the hospitals switchboard number on a small piece of paper

Child admitted with breathing issues whilst visiting fiends in Bradford. Excellent service across across all areas of the hospital from a&e and particularly with Staff warm and friendly updating you on a regular basis. Might be the northern hospitality but don’t believe I would have received this exceptional service in my local hospital. I know people are Not out banging there pans at the end of there driveways now but but don’t think your service does not go unnoticed TrueType excellent service . 5 star.

  7. Review titled Amazing

Rated 5 stars out of 5

From the moment the paramedics arrived till we were admitted on ward via children's a&e, the staff have been beyond amazing I cannot express how relieved and grateful I am to every staff member who has worked tirelessly to provide care with empathy and respect. Not only did they investigate to find the cause of my daughter's health concerns, that hospitals in Lancashire did not do, they showered us with compassion as parents too. The doctors in a&e and on ward 30/32 have been saviours. The nurses have filled our hearts with so much respect and we are overwhelmed with their sincerity towards the patients. The staff in the radiology department and the consultants have ironed out all issues and we just can't praise the whole team enough. Finally after 10 months of suffering, there is a plan to treat as BRI have found the cause within 48hours The staff feeding the patients and always asking parents if they need anything, the member who hands out toys to keep kids occupied, the cleaners...every single department of staffing has overwhelmed us by their care Well done to everyone at BRI, you don't get enough credit. Thank you from the depths of our hearts

I can’t describe how great the labour ward and recovery team were. Everyone was so reassuring and made sure they spoke through everything with me clearly. They were all so kind and the theatre team are next level! They were amazing put me at ease when I needed emergency forceps to deliver my baby boy. I felt so happy, and content and I can’t fault any of the staff. Your labour and maternity team/ midwives are a treasure to your team! Thank you again from Jamie-lee and Ralphie xx

  10. Review titled Shocking experience

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 19 September 2022

Booked in at 1:35pm sat approx 3 1/2 hours to be told by the receptionist they called me from the main waiting area into triage and not Covid wait and because of the miscommunication that I was Covid positive they discharged me off the system as they thought I wasn’t in the department. so the receptionist had to undo my discharge bearing in mind I went in with chest pains/palpitations.the receptionist went and spoke with the sister of the department who said they will get me seen as soon as possible and apologised for the miscommunication.I had bloods x-ray and ecg bloods came back as a raised marker for Troponin at 8 the doctor said with it been this high they needed to repeat the bloods 3 hours apart and said if it’s the same or lower there is no cause for concern and I can go home.I’ve had one of these blood tests before and it came back as zero but to be sat 12 hours in total is an absolute disgrace and it wasn’t as tho the department was overly busy when I went in. I’m very confused as to why my bloods came back this high when I’ve had one in the past the doctor said to me that this might just be normal for me but surely something has clearly caused it to be raised no other follow up was arranged so if I have got slight heart damage I will never know.shocking treatment if I’m honest and to be sat there 3 and a half hours without anybody knowing about me and after having heart palpitations and chest pains is very very dangerous it could of been a different story.
