    Went in for a sigmoidoscopy and was very anxious about the whole process, the receptionist was very welcoming, professional and friendly; this professional friendly conduct was carried further by the nurses who were at the ready to take me in, led me to my own private room and explained everything clearly and gathered all necessary information from me in the first instance, by this point I was feeling much more prepared. Everything was done at a pace, nothing was rushed, nurse was very professional and considerate regularly checking up on me, thanks to this build up the enema was easy to endure. Following this I was given some time to wait for the procedure, continuing the provision of care and service I had so far enjoyed which was not limited to the nurse as one of the senior staff also checked in on me ahead of the procedure. The procedure itself was much easier to endure than I had anticipated, there were some moments of pain I felt unbearable but this did not last long and was made much easier by the 5 member team that supported, reassured and were engaged and acted to my needs every moment. My vitals were constantly monitored and whenever i felt discomfort they stopped to make sure i was ready to continue all the while engaging and encouraging me. I did not need any kind of anaesthesia or medicine to ease the process as the entire team from receptionist to operating team made it very pleasant. To summarize I entered the department feeling very anxious but left very satisfied and relieved. Additionally I must thank this team as in the future I may require a full colonoscopy yet this experience has left me feeling ready, enlightened and prepared for it.

    I visited for a preop assessment today and everyone from the gentleman who helped in the car park to the staff member who helped me find where I needed to be to the gentleman running my tests was extremely kind and caring.

    Knee replacement. I cannot express how well I was looked after by just everyone. The attention and care was first class. I could not of paid for better treatment thankyou so much. I had a side room and the food was excellent both of which I would have liked to pay extra for if I was given the facility to do so. For those of us who can afford to pay it would be nice to do so...a little giving back is always good. Thankyou

    I had a wonderful experience today at the urgent treatment centre at Central Middlesex Hospital. The receptionist was friendly and kind, the nurse I saw was very caring and the doctor was patient and paid attention to what I was saying and provided helpful advice. I would absolutely recommend this centre. Staff put you at ease and really care that you receive help and treatment.

    I was booked in yesterday for a colonoscopy, and just wanted to thank the whole staff team for their outstanding care and attention - from the clear and comprehensive information provided in advance, to the two nurses who checked me in, the three medics in the procedure room, and the lovely nurse who looked after me in recovery, all of whom made a potentially difficult experience so much easier. The whole department had an air of efficient calm - NHS at its very best! Thank you.

    I was booked in for a colonoscopy today, every member of staff I met, from the admission nurse, the nurse who put in the cannula, the team during the procedure, all of them were such kind and friendly people and really made all of the experience far less stressful and I am very grateful for that.

    I attended on 14 July for a CT scan of my bowel. All of the staff that dealt with me ere first class! They were friendly, caring and extremely professional. I feel privileged to have had such caring treatment

  8. Review titled Left in the dark about ACL surgery

    In October 2021 I suffered a completely ruptured ACL and a torn meniscus playing rugby. I did not find out about my injury until January 2022 due to MRI scans being lost. After I found out, I attended back to back follow-up appointments, eventually had an appointment with the surgeon who would be operating on me (very nice guy), and had a pre-operation appointment in December 2022 where I was sent a pre-operation package to sign online, informing me of the reconstruction surgery I was going to undergo and the risks involved. This made me assume that surgery could be happening soon, as Central Middlesex Hospital would not send me that if I was not expected to be operated on in due time. From since my last appointment, I have not had any calls, letters, emails, or texts in regards to my reconstruction surgery. I fear that I may have been removed from the referrals list and I fear that I may never have surgery for my ACL.

    Everyone from reception desk to the nurses were really helpful, kind and nice, did not wait too long at all. The only downside was that the second part of assessment was over the phone on a separate appointment. Though I had my mobile with me, Wi-Fi dropped, so the phone did not ring or buzz. Once Wi-Fi picked up again, I missed two calls in the space of a few minutes. I am no tech expert, but I do feel this is why we should have more face to face meetings. I tried ringing the dept at least 10 times in one day, but no answer. Then I rang the help desk at the hospital, they transferred me, no response. Then I was given a direct number, and again no response after being told they arrange there own appointments, I rang and once again no response. My problem has existed for longer than 4/5 years, and I finally get to the moment where I can be fixed, and I feel the NHS has let me down, not the people who saw me and interacted with me, they were lovely. But the system the NHS has right from GP service all the way to the hospitals.

    Today I went to urgent care in central Middlesex Hospital as advised by 111 for my 4 years old boy. He has very bad allergy all over body.I was waiting for 5 hours , when I went to reception to ask how long for my number, she said I don’t know. Later one nurse came out from doctor and said we have one doctor only and don’t know how long you have to wait for doctor but I already waited more than 5 years , I left urgent treatment care and said I came as per 111 doctor advised. I was really upset and insufficient services from Urgent care treatment. Extremely disappointed
