  1. Review titled No functioning Audiology 'Service' at Chase Farm

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Laurence Fagan - Posted on 01 March 2023

If your hearing aid stops working and you are almost totally deaf, don't look to Chase Farm for care. Repairs are allegedly contactable for 2 hours a day, 4 days a week, however they cannot and do not operate even this limited service. The phone rings three times and cuts off - no queue or holding on - cuts off. Trying through the switchboard (after the usual long wait) same result, cuts off. How on earth the CCG accepts this disgraceful state of affairs is beyond me. I have been trying for a week and struggling with no hearing, and I dare say many other elderly people are in the same position. Shame on them.

  2. Review titled Waiting for a taxi

Rated 4 stars out of 5

by Jeanette - Posted on 17 March 2023

I wanted a taxi was told wait outside by the brown chairs. Waited 45 minutes! Then went back into reception and she said he was looking for me. So there are two entrances and it is not the main entrance for taxis but the one at the back.

Hi Jeanette I am sorry for the delay in reading your post. Thank you for your feedback. I am sorry that the reception staff did not properly arrange from which entrance the taxi should have picked you up from. I'll feed this back to the reception teams so that this doesn't happen again. 3. Review titled Confusing

Rated 4 stars out of 5

I arrived at main entrance 10 mins before my blood test appointment. When attempting to us the check in machine in main entrance I was told by staff member no need to do that simply go to area G blood tests. I sat with other patients waiting and waiting until I spoke with another patient who advised I should check in at reception. Reception is hidden inside area G with no signage indicating 'Reception please check in' Why not a have a simple sign stating 'Have you checked in? with obvious signage to the reception desk.

Hi Doug Thank you for your feedback. I apologise that the information you were given was not complete. Though patients attending for a blood test don't need to use they check-in machines they will need to check-in with the receptionist in Zone G. I'll remind our concierge and volunteers of this. Thank you for your suggestion regarding signage. I will pass this onto our facilities team Garnett Guscott, Patient Experience Manager

  4. Review titled Wellcoming

Rated 5 stars out of 5

Just a warm welcoming hospital the moment you go through main entrance. Staff were like Bees around a Honey Pot soo polite and charming. How could I refuse another of cup of tea! Surgeon and Team seem to have done a brilliant job and spoke with a normal manner putting one at ease. It's a new hospital and beautiful inside with Green colour scheme. I like the individual walled cubicals giving privacy and relaxation and enough room for a party. Thank you all.

  6. Review titled Unbeatable Service

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Vivian - Posted on 09 December 2022

I’ve just returned home from the surgical ward having had a spinal injection. I just want to say that I defy anywhere, including private hospitals, to provide a better experience. Every nurse (and there were several) and doctor was friendly, helpful and caring. The new hospital sparkles and my private room was super clean and comfortable. I was brought a sandwich and fruit promptly after the procedure, since I had not eaten for several hours, then a cup of tea half an hour later. Though a day case, I was not hurried out. The result of the treatment will take longer to establish, but so far I have only praise for Chase Farm. Oh yes, I also had a brilliant experience at the assessment appointment three weeks ago. Thank you so much.

  10. Review titled Rude Ophthalmology staff

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 12 October 2022

The way my mother, that speaks little english, was treated by the Ophthalmology staff was disgraceful. The Optometrist abruptly told my mother to leave the room during her scan to put someone else in front of her. She was put in a room on her own. When I questioned it, she brushed it off and ignored what I was saying. This treatment was disgraceful and shows how the staff treat patients who cannot advocate for themselves. On the other hand, the doctors were helpful along with the staff at the desk.
