Review titled Disappointing experience
Rated 2 stars out of 5

A family member was admitted for a few days, and I am extremely disappointed in the care they received. They required regular pain relief which was not given, when reminded of this the staff would go to get some but never returned. Dressings were left on for over 10 hours and never checked or changed, family members had to sort it out when visiting. Overall a really poor service.

Review titled Great first class service
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Mark Wareing - Posted on 04 January 2024
I visited the endoscopy department yesterday at Preston Hospital for a camera investigation and have to say the treatment and way I was dealt with was first class from the nurse who booked me in to the doctor who did the procedure. 10 out of 10 who needs to go private please pass this on to all concerned.

Review titled Healthy Respect
Rated 5 stars out of 5

Attended Chorley on Wednesday 17th and had a precision point prostate biopsie carried out. From booking in to leaving after surgery I was well looked after by all the individuals concerned despite a long wait to go into theatre. Just waiting for results now. Can't praise the NHS enough for what they do.

Review titled No information
Rated 1 star out of 5

Got to my appointment 15 mins prior. After waiting 45 mins with no information I finally asked if I'd been forgotten. It was 17.30 in the evening. The receptionist had switched all the reception lights off and left by 5pm. There was no interaction from staff whatsoever. I told the HCA that was apparently running the clinic that had she informed me how late the clinic was running I'd of made alternative arrangements for my autistic child to be picked up for football but there had been zero communication with patients at all! The real positive to the experience is how amazing the staff were with elderly patients.

Review titled Excellent care
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by S varden - Posted on 29 December 2023
Had to attend A&E at 8.15am this morning with a damaged & very painful shoulder. From the minute I entered I was thoroughly impressed. The area was spotless& did not feel like a hospital at all. It was bright & colourful. Reception lady was very pleasant no miserable faces in here. I was called through to triage quickly no hours waiting as we have at other hospitals nearby. The nurse in there was lovely& put me at ease. Soon a Dr came to see me & sent me to xray all within an hour. Xray taken & back to the waiting area when the Dr came to tell me the results. He was a very nice man & I told him how impressed I had been. I do hate hospitals but if I have to visit here again I won't worry at all. Thankyou to everyone who works here so nice to see happy faces in a hospital.

Review titled Always delayed
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 21 December 2023
The dermatology service at Chorley is abysmal. I attend regularly, and 9 times out of ten there is a delay - which is normally not displayed on the white board - of at least 30 minutes. I have had to rearrange numerous appointments because the delay would have been over and hour. It just seems that we have to accept it. However if I were 30 minutes late I would have to miss my appointment and make a new one. I understand there are various pressures on the NHS, but this is still unacceptable.

Review titled Not a good experience
Rated 2 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 20 December 2023
I spent nearly six hours in the urgent care waiting room. The drinks machines were not working. On request I was given a glass of water but others there were desperate for a drink and did not realise they could ask. There was no TV to watch so all there was to do to pass time was scroll on your phone resulting in everyone running low on battery after some time and trying to find someone who might have a charger as we needed our phones to phone home to get picked up. Staff were very nice but the experience awful.
