  1. Review titled Rude Opthalmology Clinic Clerk

Rated 3 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 20 July 2023

Did not want to leave a negative review as both my parents have received excellent care from the Countess. However, on numerous occasions visiting the Eye clinic I have experienced rudeness with one member of staff in particular, the clinic clerk. She spoils the great service that we receive from everyone else who is lovely! I think she should either retire or work in an office away from the public.

  2. Review titled Everyone was very caring and kind.

    by januarywh64 - Posted on 08 August 2023

I have had to endoscopy tests this year. I must admit I was very nervous, as the last one I had some years ago was not very pleasant (this was before the Haygarth building). I had been reassured over the telephone that I would be given double sedation. I have to be honest, I felt nothing, I was awake, but the procedure was not at all unpleasant. On the first visit, the most unpleasant thing was having something pushed up my nose (for oxygen I think), but on the second appointment I just had little plastic breathing apparatus inserted at the bottom of my nostrils. I may have to go again soon for a repeat, just waiting to see consultant. Everyone was very caring and kind. I would be confident that you are listened to at your appointment, and certainly more at ease if I do have to have a repeat.

  3. Review titled Care with respect and dignity

Rated 5 stars out of 5

After 7 months of various gynaecological investigations I highly command all staff for their care and respectful treatment of me throughout many procedures. This ultimately ended in surgery and again the care on all levels was excellent. May I also add that liaison with my own Drs was very good so follow up was seamless . Well done C of C !

  4. Review titled Failing, and failing badly

Rated 1 star out of 5

My son needed an emergency admission to treat his psychosis. No bed was available and we, his parents, were left to care for him, at home, for over 2 days. Inept, inadequate and unacceptable. No parity of care with physical health. Would a heart attack patient have to wait two days for treatment?

  5. Review titled Appalling

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 04 June 2023

After a 3 hour wait in the ambulance, my husband was transferred to the corridor inside the emergency department. One “corridor nurse” was looking after 6 or 7 people who had been brought in with possible life threatening illnesses. Nobody had a call button or any privacy or dignity whatsoever. Each time anybody needed to be examined, they were moved into a side room which looked more like a storage cupboard. This is the reality of emergency care right now and appears to be accepted as the new norm.

  6. Review titled Disorganised Chaos - disgusting begaviours

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Sue Percival - Posted on 14 June 2023

: From the condescending rude receptionist, to the lies of it will be 7 hours, to some who were told you are 2nd in the queue & then a steam of people go ahead of him. I arrived with my 85 yr old mother at 20:10 was not given a number of where we were in the queue when I went to ask receptionist who straight away looked at her screen then her watch “you have only been here 53 minutes”. We are now at 04:40 & the wound has not been mentioned let alone dressed & are still waiting to see a doctor, and the results from tests were in at 01:30. Really is this the way to treat human beings. I should have have taken her to the vet, they know how to treat animals, that’s how we feel we are being treated. Apart from the tea man who is fantastic. Get some proper systems in place, train the staff & all receptionists should be highly trained in customer service using empathy & caring, if they can’t do that then they are in the wrong job. They sent an 85 year old woman home without cleaning the wound, presumably no concerns of infection control & Sepsis. However this concern is now logged, so over to you she was under your care.

  7. Review titled Wonderful Staff

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Emily Adams - Posted on 14 June 2023

I had my first experience with A&E today which I was very nervous about, and I have left feeling grateful & relieved from the care that I received from the doctor I was seen by. She was thorough and knowledgeable about my issue, and went what I felt was above and beyond. The staff don’t get enough credit and everyone I spoke to in the facility were helpful and patient. I’ve left feeling very grateful for the care I received and feel as though my doctor was thorough and didn’t hesitate to check everything necessary to make sure I left with the information needed. Thank you!

I recently had a TURP procedure. I also had to spend a day in ICU before transfer to Ward 52. Staff in the Operating Theatre, Recovery, ICU and Ward 52 were brilliant! I could not have wished for better treatment and care. Thank you all.
