  1. Review titled A & E time spent waiting for a bed on a ward

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 24 January 2024

My relative has spent five days on a trolley in the A & E ward waiting for a bed on a medical ward. Nurses change every day and it is causing an immense degree of stress to both my relative and the family. We understand there is a shortage of beds, but five days on a trolley is not acceptable when someone is ill.

  2. Review titled Great practice at out of hours

Rated 4 stars out of 5

We were seen within half an hour of getting through via 111 for our 8 day old baby with possible stomach infection. Dr was very reassuring and thorough, empathetic and went out of her way to give extra advice. Clinic was clean, warm and welcoming

  4. Review titled Outstanding!

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I attended A&E at this hospital on 30/12/23 due to an acute emergency situation and I can't sing the hospital's praises enough. From my arrival to discharge the staff, and the services provided, were first class. The communication between staff and arranging of procedures was quick and seamless. The staff are efficient, friendly, professional and amazing on every level. This hospital is the best example of our wonderful NHS. Thank you.

  6. Review titled Unhealthy surroundings

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 09 January 2024

The medical staff were great even though we had a long wait. However they was expected. The main concern was it was Extremely dirty surroundings in the children department, sick tubs under most chairs, dirty tissues lying around, food all over the floors and chairs, blood/ food stains on the small tables, coffee cups and drinks lying around for several hours on end. Toys all over the department, looking very dirty. The toilets were overflowing with dirty nappies, and dirty tissue all over the floor, also wee all over the toilet seats and on the floor. I refused to let my daughter out her pram for these reasons. Very disappointed in the cleanliness. I arrived at around 5:30pm, and left at 1:30am, not once was anything cleaned, or rubbish removed. I had to do urine test with my daughter in an extremely dirty toilet. This really needs looking at for the health of the new born babies, toddlers and the parents.

  7. Review titled Outstanding, extraordinary, exceptional.

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Edd - Posted on 28 February 2024

I chopped the end off two of my fingers with a large bench planer. Four weeks later, my daughter chopped her finger in a ladder. Both of us needed plastic surgery. The Countess of Chester plastic surgery team were absolutely outstanding. Whilst clearly busy, they were superbly efficient: incredibly skilled (at all levels), really “joined up”, and caring. A most impressive team, full of skills, working together in a way that you rarely see. The leadership is obviously outstanding. The RedBull formula 1 team of plastic surgery. I cannot rate you highly, nor thank you enough. Other aspiring teams, from all walks of life, but especially medics, should be able to see how this group works so effectively. Well done indeed 👏👏👏
