    I can’t thank the staff enough on the amazing experience of the birth of my little boy. Every member of staff that was part of it was brilliant. It was such a lovely experience after having my last baby during lockdown. I can’t thank the staff enough. They were so supportive, knowledgeable and really made me feel comfortable. The whole experience was fantastic and the care provided was outstanding. The care throughout my pregnancy and to being discharged has all been amazing. I feel very lucky to have given birth at Grimsby hospital, I was part of the poppy/honeysuckle team so Thankyou to them all.

    Wow what can I say, endoscopy unit at Grimsby was superb. I've had an endoscopy before at Scunthorpe but this was such a superb experience (not saying Scunthorpe wasn't but this just tipped it). Yes I had it cancelled a few times but the department made up for that in spades. Greated by a very nice nurse who immediately put me at ease seeingss though I was a bit apprehensive on having the procedure. Went professional through everything, explaining what will happen, the pros and cons of having the procedure and what problems may or may not occur. Had all my stats taken and was taken to a lovely waiting area. Taken into the procedure and greated by the doctor and nurse who fully explained what they were doing and explained on screen where they were and why they were doing. Constantly asked how I was and reassured if I felt a bit worried. I thanked the doctor and nurse for the everything in the procedure as I thought it was done with professionalism and then I was moved into the recovery area. Nurses were great throughout the day, professional and courteous and couldn't do enough for you even with it being on a Sunday. One nurse (sorry I don't remember the name) was so happy within her work she made me smile. So many dark clouds and so many bad reviews about hospitals that I needed to express how superb the whole time was when in the department. Well done to the endoscopy department in Grimsby, thank you for the whole experience seeing as though it's not the greatest thing to go through. 5 stars.

    I came to this hospital for my 8 week pregnancy appointment. I was not told where I had to go. I assumed that I would see a sign for ‘Maternity’ somewhere but all I could see was ‘pregnancy advisory services’ which was evidently not the right place when we searched for it. We asked a lady at the ENT desk as there was no one by the main reception. She advised us to go to family services. After about 20 minutes of searching, we asked a paramedic on-site who finally was able to help us and we eventually found it. We were late for my appointment but they had an emergency and were running late themselves so they didn’t seem to mind. I then was asked to take a blood test but the lady who tried was not able to get anything out the first time so she tried again in the other arm and only got a couple of drops out. She asked me if I had drunk anything that morning and tried to claim that I was dehydrated, which I was not. I was sent to another hospital to get it redone a couple days later, the phlebotomist saw the massive bruise on my arm and told me that the lady who tried to take my blood missed my vein. On top of that, she did not put pressure on the wound after taking my blood and just covered them both with a plaster, which is why I end up with a massive bruise a couple days later.

    I know it's all too common to be critical of the NHS these days but my experience of the gynaecology department, over several years, has been really positive. I believe it is quite possibly the most efficient department in the whole of the NHS. I have attended several different departments at a number of hospitals for various problems but I have found most of them wanting except for this department. The staff at all levels are unfailingly pleasant, sensitive and helpful and the appointments system is efficient and timely. I have nothing but praise, which is well earned. Congratulations!

  6. Review titled Long wait but excellent treatment

    Attended A and E with my husband who started with a UTI on New Year day. We arrived at 11pm to a packed waiting room and waited til 2am before going home as hubby was too ill to sit there any longer. We went back at 6 the following morning and the lady on reception remembered him, he was triaged quickly and saw a doctor who arranged to have him admitted for intravenous antibiotics. Staff are first class, empathetic and caring and doing a brilliant job under difficult circumstances. They are rushed off their feet but still have time for a smile and keep their sense of humour. A Big thank you to everyone at A and E.

    I have just left hospital after having hip replacement surgery. I would just like to thank everyone who helped me during my stay. I would like to thank the admin staff my surgeon and the theatre team. I would also like to thank all the staff on b7, physiotherapy, and the paramedics who took me home. Thanks again.

    I had scan appointment, and he advised me two wait outside but he didn't told me the right place to wait i was waiting and went two reception two times to ask for what iam waiting and she didn't even check all the time i was waiting and still iam waiting now don't know who gona call the reception dont want to check. Just don't like unfortunately iam cample to come here
